HotelTonight is a part of the Airbnb family. The hotels team at Airbnb is responsible for taking HotelTonight into  new directions and scale. The Airbnb platform also has hotel listings and the hotels team develops systems that help the Airbnb ecosystem have a wide selection of accommodation choices for our guests and the most effective tools for hosts to onboard, manage and thrive on Airbnb.

About the Role

We are looking for a senior infrastructure engineer. You will own systems that HotelTonight runs on servicing millions of guests. You shall be working with teams all over the globe that will rely on your systems to work without fail. You will end up having a significant influence on the technical architecture of HotelTonight systems. You should be able to partner with technical peers to shape the architecture of not just our infrastructure but all of our product stack.

Responsibilities

• Work on maintaining and upgrading AWS infrastructure using Terraform.
• Create, plan, and execute infrastructure projects such as database migrations/upgrades, networking changes, MSK upgrades, Docker OS patches, and such.
• Work on improving the in-house devops tooling to boost engineering productivity.
• Work on maintaining/improving the CI/CD (Jenkins) pipeline.
• Provide infrastructure support for the SF team.

Minimum Requirements

• 7+ years of experience
• Bachelor’s and/or Master’s degree, preferably in CS, or equivalent experience
• Experience working with AWS services, Terraform and Packer.
• Experience with Ruby/Golang.
• Passionate about efficiency, availability, and technical quality.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills and the ability to work well within a large engineering organization as well as cross functionally.
• Strong collaboration via code reviews and architecture discussions, and motivated to improve their teammates’ productivity.
• Experience working on a product engineering team or customer-centric platform team supporting a medium to large engineering organization.
