SoundHound AI believes every person should be able to interact naturally with the products around them–by simply talking. With a global reach spanning two dozen languages, we build Voice AI products with conversational intelligence for cars, restaurant ordering, and more, allowing our customers to extend their brand in new and meaningful ways.

Of course, great technology needs great infrastructure. This is an opportunity to join us in doing just that! As a member of our SRE team, you will be building first-class infrastructure to help us deliver our best-in-class technology to the world. The SRE team is charged with providing the global infrastructure needed to reach millions of users worldwide. We love to work smarter, so automation is at the core of everything we build!

In this role, you will:

  • Build software and systems for cloud infrastructure management and automation (Ansible, Terraform, Oracle Cloud)
  • Participate in developing frameworks for application deployment, customization, and upgrades (Kubernetes, ArgoCD, Gitlab, Jenkins)
  • Improve observability, implement and measure key metrics, and define SLOs/SLAs (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK)
  • Collaborate with multi-functional teams to architect and build reliable and scalable services
  • Participate in the on-call rotation (follow-the-sun model)

We would love to hear from you if:

  • You have 4+ years of experience working as a Site Reliability Engineer or similar role
  • You have an MS or Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field
  • You have experience managing and automating infrastructure in a cloud environment
  • You have in-depth knowledge of container orchestration platforms like Kubernetes
  • You have technical expertise with tools used for Observability, Infrastructure as Code and CI/CD
  • You have experience solving complex Linux system and network level issues
  • You are proficient in writing quality Python code and using GitOps
  • You have a pragmatic, problem-solving, and critical-thinking mindset

We’d be especially excited if you have worked with a microservices architecture in a highly available large-scale infrastructure focused on reliability and observability.

This role is available throughout Canada. Employees within a 100-kilometer radius of our Toronto office are expected to work from the office on three pre-scheduled “core days” each month to encourage cross-team connection and in-person collaboration. Aside from these office-specific “core days,” this job allows for virtual/remote, hybrid, and in-office workplace setting options. In addition to salary and equity, you will receive comprehensive healthcare, paid time off, and other benefits. Our recruiting team will provide a specific salary range based on location and years of experience.
