About the team

 As the Director of DevOps Engineering, you will lead the DevOps team in managing and optimizing the infrastructure and services for Reltio’s cloud offerings, including MDM, RIQ, RDM, and other foundational components. You will ensure service reliability, security, and efficiency while fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.

 

Responsibilities

   Leadership and Strategy:

• Provide strategic direction and leadership to the DevOps engineering team.
• Develop and execute DevOps strategies aligned with business goals and technology vision.
• Foster a collaborative, innovative, and high-performance culture within the team.

 Infrastructure Management:

• Oversee the design, implementation, and management of infrastructure-as-code (IaC) solutions using tools like Terraform and Helm Charts.
• Ensure the efficient provisioning and management of cloud resources across AWS, GCP, and Azure.

 Collaboration and Integration:

• Collaborate with product managers, developers, InfoSec, and other stakeholders to define platform requirements, scope, and priorities.
• Partner with development, operations, and quality assurance teams to streamline software delivery processes.

 Performance Optimization:

• Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize the performance and cost of DevOps tools and platforms.
• Implement strategies for zero downtime maintenance of Kubernetes clusters and cloud resources.

 Innovation and Improvement:

• Evaluate industry trends and recommend new tools, technologies, and best practices to enhance DevOps processes.
• Drive process improvements and implement best practices in DevOps methodologies.

 Mentorship and Guidance:

• Mentor platform engineers, providing guidance and support to foster their growth.
• Act as a force multiplier to engineering and development teams by offering expert guidance on platform integration and best practices.

 Security and Documentation:

• Collaborate with security teams to integrate security controls and best practices into DevOps processes and infrastructure.
• Document technical designs, procedures, and configurations to ensure knowledge sharing and system integrity.

 Cultural Contribution:

• Contribute to a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement within the TechOps team and across the organization.

Required Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent work experience.
• 15+ years of experience in DevOps Engineering or in a similar role, with a strong background in software development and infrastructure operations.
• 8+ years of experience in leading teams across geographies.
• Extensive experience with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
• Deep understanding of containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) and orchestration tools.
• Extensive experience with infrastructure-as-code (IaC) tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, or equivalent.
• Proficiency with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, ArgoCD) and practices.
• Expertise in declarative management tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation.
• Exceptional troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Proven track record of driving process improvements and implementing DevOps best practices.
• Knowledge of security best practices and compliance requirements in cloud environments.
• Demonstrated ability to lead and inspire engineering teams, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.
• Experience in strategic planning, including the development and implementation of DevOps strategies aligned with business goals.
• Knowledge of security best practices and compliance requirements in cloud environments.
• Experience with agile development methodologies and DevOps practices in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Preferred skills 

• Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack, or OpenTelemetry.
