Your Role at impact.com:

As an AI Engineer,  you will work on our core and business products to help shape the future of what we build at impact.com.  You will enjoy working with our rich data set, cutting edge technology, and the ability to see your insights turned into real products on a regular basis.  Partnering with internal and external stakeholders, you will develop new products/features and solve business problems by preparing, analyzing, and understanding data to prototype products/features, deliver insight, predict emerging trends, and provide recommendations to optimize results. 

You should have a background in a quantitative or technical field, experience working with large data sets, experience in data-driven decision making, and data storytelling through visualization.  You are proficient in big data technologies, Cloud environment, statistical modelling, and machine learning algorithms. You are passionate and diligent about staying abreast of academic research and industry best practices in the constantly evolving digital marketing landscape.  You are focused on results, a self-starter, and have demonstrated success in using analytics to drive the understanding, growth, and success of a product.

What You'll Do:

  • Design, develop, test, and deploy high-performance data science solutions.
  • Collaborate with product managers, designers, and other stakeholders to define and deliver on the product roadmap.
  • Optimize and refactor existing models and algorithms to improve performance, reliability, and maintainability.
  • Stay updated with emerging technologies and industry trends to ensure our products remain competitive.
  • Participate in code reviews and data model evaluations, providing constructive feedback to peers.

What You Have:

  • Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, Physics, Operations Research, Statistics, or other quantitative Social Science fields. PhD preferred, or equivalent experience. 
  • 5+ years of tech industry work experience as a data analyst, statistician, or data scientist.
  • Expert knowledge of statistical data analysis, including linear models, multivariate analysis, stochastic models, sampling methods, and experimental design.
  • Well-versed in R, Python, SQL, and big data query languages.
  • Proficient with machine learning, AI, data mining, and advanced statistical modelling.
  • Experience with big data and cloud platforms to deploy large-scale data science solutions.
  • Knowledge of distributed computing frameworks.
  • 5+ years experience in large data modelling and processing, large language models, preferably GraphQL, neural networks, and machine learning + artificial intelligence.
  • Experience with recommendation systems, algorithmic experimentation, and research, and advanced conversion optimization.
  • Excellent communicator, able to articulate business questions and use mathematical techniques to derive answers from available data.
  • Experience communicating analysis results with product and leadership teams to influence product strategy.
  • Understanding of digital marketing and statistical algorithms used in marketing analytics.
  • Ability to navigate complex business organizations and manage multiple cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated leadership and self-direction, with a willingness to both teach others and learn new techniques.
