Software Engineer Co-op
As a Software Engineer (Co-op), you will join one of our teams to help the team take code from design to production. Taking what you learned about coding and algorithms you will build on top of those skills to create thoroughly tested, well designed, easily adaptable, and beautiful software for our customers. This is an opportunity to work closely with UX designers, senior engineers, test automation experts, and a supportive team that values learning and growth. As a team member, you will:
- Build features for our customers as well as internal tools using the latest front end and web frameworks, all running on AWS infrastructure,
- Develop high quality code (e.g. adhering to SOLID principles) with plenty of tests and observability baked-in
- Develop infrastructure as code using Terraform/CDK for repeatable and consistent deployments
- Ensure our customers are getting the best experience from the code that we write through automated testing and monitoring.
- Respond to production issues as they arise.
- Participate during demo day to share your accomplishments with the rest of R&D.
- Peer code review for your team members and even outside your team, pair programming, and design sharing sessions to maintain and grow our knowledge and quality standards.
- Use Kanban processes to ensure value is defined and delivered to our customers in a consistent
You would be an excellent fit, if you have
- Experience creating your own web application and understand web protocols.
- Working knowledge of RDBMS such as PostgreSQL, MySQL or SQL Server.
- Familiarity with one or more CI/CD systems such as Semaphore, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, AWS CodeBuild and CodePipeline
- Understanding of what objected-oriented programming means and experience with more than one programming language.
- Believe in continuous learning, are self-driven to learn new things, and share your ideas and knowledge.
- Ask questions to quickly unblock yourself so you can complete your tasks efficiently.
