Twilio is looking for a Software Engineer(L1) for our Identity Platform Team in Bangalore, India. You will be responsible for helping to build IAM products and features our customers will love. A successful candidate will be a self-starter, who never settles, is able to coordinate and collaborate with other teams and feel excitement when being exposed to the challenges and opportunities that come with building distributed, low latency and highly-available systems at scale, you may be a fantastic fit!

Who?

You have: -

  • Bachelor's degree in a computer science related field as a minimum requirement
  • 1+ years of proven experience as a Software developer/Frontend developer, with a strong understanding of react, typescript and general frontend ecosystem
  • Experience with HTML, CSS & object oriented JS
  • Passion for JavaScript and Web as a platform, reusability and componentization
  • Experience in debugging problems across systems/repositories and designing solutions that span the whole stack
  • Experience with modern testing frameworks (e.g., Jest, Cypress, Mocha, Chai).
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
  • Knowledge of API integration and RESTful API concepts
  • Exposure to front-end build tools
  • Understanding of responsive design principles and cross-browser compatibility
  • Experience troubleshooting complex production issues
  • Love to make an impact and thrive in small, collaborative, energetic teams

Nice to Have:

  • Experience working with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
  • Familiarity with version control systems such as Git.
  • Awareness of accessibility and SEO best practices
  • Experience with CSS pre-processors like SASS or LESS
  • Familiarity with tools like Figma for design collaboration
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms, preferably AWS
  • Knowledge of containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.

As a Software Engineer (L1), you will be responsible for

  • Designing, developing, and implementing high-quality frontend applications.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.
  • Participating in code reviews to ensure code quality and adherence to coding standards.
  • Troubleshooting and debugging issues to ensure smooth application performance.
  • Owning and operating, high-scale cloud based systems and services.
  • Documenting technical specifications and procedures.
  • Keeping up-to-date with the latest frontend technologies, trends, and best practices.
  • Managing your work through the use of Github, Jira, and our build/deploy systems.
