Job Summary: The ideal candidate will have several years’ experience with Google Cloud design and implementation. Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver proof-of-concept projects, technical workshops, and lead implementation projects.
- Focus on key customer solutions such as web applications, enterprise applications, archiving and disaster recovery, education, and government.
- Create, articulate, and position an innovative and compelling value proposition so that customer executives clearly realize the benefits and transformation value of migrating to GCP.
- Define and execute technical migration and modernization strategies by working with highly technical teams.
- Deliver modern architectures such as micro services and event driven architectures using managed services and cloud native capabilities.
- Engage with development, infrastructure, security, and IT operations teams at the customer and identifying repeatable patterns and architectures for cloud migration.
- Identify platform improvements, influencing future iterations of the GCP platform.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent experience, in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics or a related field.
- 3+ years of design, implementation, or consulting experience in applications or infrastructures.
- 5+ years within specific technology domain areas (e.g. software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, Automation, and operations).
- 3+ yrs experience in a Solutions Architect, Enterprise Architect, or Lead Architect role leading the discovery, design, and construction of full stack custom and commercial off the shelf applications.
- Multi-tier distributed architecture experience within IT consulting, IT operations, application development or support to include the following: experience migrating, architecting, operating on premises or cloud-based solutions, or experience transforming legacy IT solutions, and working knowledge of software development tools and methodologies.
- Experience architecting, designing, migrating workloads to the public cloud.
- Deep level understanding of various migration techniques such as re-host, refactor, re-architect, re-platform, repurchase, etc.
- Expert Knowledge of Google services such as compute, GKE, GCE, Spanner, GCS, Networking and Security.
- Deep understanding of GCP Ecosystem.
- In depth understanding of IP networking, VPN's, DNS, load balancing and firewalls.
- Extensive expertise in designing systems with high availability, resilience, and fault tolerance, incorporating load balancing, horizontal/vertical scaling, and ensuring continuous availability.
- Strong track record of implementing GCP services in a variety of distributed computing environments.
- Experience in infrastructure automation through DevOps scripting (E.g., Shell, Python, Ruby, PowerShell).
- Experience with software development life cycle (SDLC) and agile/iterative Methodologies.
- Scripting and/or coding skills (Examples include but are not limited to: Java (OR) Python (OR) Terraform, PowerShell (OR) Bash).
- Experience with configuration management tools such as Ansible, Salt, Chef, Puppet.
- Experience with Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) frameworks and tools such as, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Gitlab CI, Cloud Build, Cloud Deploy.
- Direct hands-on experience leading the design, development, and deployment of business software at scale or recent hands-on technology infrastructure, network, compute, storage, and virtualization experience.
- Experience with IT compliance and risk management requirements (eg. security, privacy, SOX, HIPAA etc.).
- Experience in a range of migration discovery, profiling, migration, automation, and operations technologies and tools.
- Willingness to travel to customer locations as needed.

•The anticipated starting pay range for Colorado is: $105,100 - $154,110.
•The anticipated starting pay range for the states of Hawaii and New York (not including NYC) is: $111,800 - $164,010.
•The anticipated starting pay range for California, New York City and Washington is: $122,500 - $179,630.
Unless already included in the posted pay range and based on eligibility, the role may include variable compensation in the form of bonus, commissions, or other discretionary payments. These discretionary payments are based on company and/or individual performance and may change at any time.
