About the Role

Engine by MoneyLion (https://engine.tech) is looking for a highly skilled front-end leaning staff-level software engineer to lead/mentor a team within Enterprise Consumer Experience. The ideal candidate has a proven track record leading/mentoring frontend engineering teams with a strong understanding of React, TypeScript, NextJS, and a balanced approach to testing.

Key Responsibilities

Own and champion quality web-based software development and deployment
Lead and mentor a small team of front-end engineers
Work with product owner and designers to create high-quality applications
Develop a balance of unit and end-to-end integration tests to ensure code quality
Collaborate with back-end engineers to build and deploy web applications
Stay up-to-date on the latest front-end technologies
Mentor and train less experienced engineers

About You

Ideally 10+ years of software engineering experience
Minimum of 5+ years of strong experience with React and TypeScript
Minimum of 3+ years of experience leading and mentoring other front-end engineers
Experience with other front-end frameworks such as Angular or Vue
Experience with balanced unit, integration, and end-to-end testing
Experience with continuous integration/delivery (CI/CD)
Leadership and mentoring skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team

A love for functional programming, immutability
A distaste for side-effecting code

The annual base salary for the Lead Staff Engineer is expected to be between $180,000 - $200,000. Base salary is one component of MoneyLion's total compensation package, which includes, 401(k) match, multiple health insurance options, disability coverage, life insurance, and unlimited paid time off for salaried positions. Actual salaries will vary based on a candidate’s qualifications, experience, skills, and competencies related to the role.
