Work directly with traders (all ex-Wall Street professionals) growing the Trading Desk business by developing tools to facilitate institutional over the counter trading and algorithmic execution!
Responsibilities
- Work closely with traders to implement tailored software solutions
- Take on primary ownership of a medium-sized project, including future design and architecture decisions
- Design and implementation of low-latency, high-availability, and performant applications
- Write reusable, testable, and efficient code
- Deploy and monitor continuously running applications
- Pull and consolidate data from various third-party APIs and other sources
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience as a full stack or backend developer in the finance or trading industry
- At least 3 years of experience in Go or Python
- Knowledge of Python, Ruby, or a similar scripting language
- Proficiency with SQL databases such as PostgreSQL or MySQL
- Experience with cloud-based platforms (AWS, Kubernetes) for deployment and orchestration
Nice to Have
- Familiarity with Ruby on Rails or a similar web application framework
- Familiarity with ReactJS or similar frontend framework
- Familiarity with Docker and Kubernetes
- Familiarity with core AWS services (EC2, ELB, S3, RDS)
- Experience with crypto/FX trading, derivatives and blockchains
- Experience writing smart order routing (SOR) strategies
