We're seeking a Senior Software Engineer with a knack for back-end development to join our team. If you're a problem-solving wizard who thrives on challenges, enjoys mentoring and excels in NodeJS & TypeScript, then this is your dream role.

Our tech stack is cloud native, leveraging Google Cloud Platform, Docker, and Cloudflare for edge compute.

As a Senior Software Engineer, you'll lead projects, guide junior team members, and drive continuous improvement.

You'll collaborate closely with stakeholders and other teams to ensure top-notch software solutions, reporting directly to senior architects & engineering leads.

What you will own:

Implement Architectural Excellence: Take the lead in implementing and shaping our architecture — crafting robust and scalable software.
Craft Innovative APIs: Be the driving force behind building new APIs and services, making “it’s possible” your favourite vocabulary.
Forge External Connections: Create integrations with third-party systems, enhancing the Blinq ecosystem.
Cross-Platform Mastery: Build the foundation for consistent experiences across web, iOS, and Android platforms, ensuring our solutions work harmoniously on all engineering fronts.
Lead the Way: Influence and guide the future technical direction of our engineering discipline, leaving your mark on the team and our company's ways of working.

What we are looking for:

Proven back-end expertise: A solid track record in back-end development. We don’t measure years of experience — your lived experiences are enough.
Tech Proficiency: Proficiency in NodeJS, TypeScript, GraphQL and Postgres is essential, along with experience in building event-driven, test-driven and stateless systems.
Integration Skills: Demonstrated ability in working with third-party APIs, showcasing an aptitude for DRY programming practice and abstraction where necessary.
Cross-Platform Know-How: Familiarity with building experience APIs are used by engineers across web, iOS, and Android.
Leadership: Strong leadership and communication skills, as well as the ability to influence and shape the technical direction of the engineering discipline, will set you up for success.
