As an Engineering Manager in our team, you'll play a crucial role in leading and managing a team of talented software engineers responsible for the design, implementation, and deployment of ZoomInfo's Data Platform. The ideal candidate is an experienced engineering leader with a strong background in building and managing teams that develop large-scale data pipelines and systems. You'll have the opportunity to shape the direction of our nascent data platform initiative, foster a culture of innovation, and drive the team's success.

What you'll be doing:
- Lead, mentor, and grow a team of software engineers, providing guidance and support to help them achieve their full potential
- Collaborate with Engineering Leaders, Architects, and Product Managers to define and execute the technical roadmap for the data platform
- Ensure the team designs, builds, and operates highly scalable and flexible systems that can manage and process billions of records a day and support complex and diversified data pipelines
- Drive the adoption of cloud computing architectures to support development needs and optimize costs
- Encourage the team to track and identify relevant new technologies in the market and facilitate their implementation into our pipelines through research and prototyping
- Oversee the development of processes and tools to monitor, analyze, maintain, and improve data operation, performance, and usability
- Foster cross-functional collaboration with Data Engineers, Data Analysts, Data Scientists, and Domain Experts to understand their needs and ensure the data platform meets their requirements
- Promote a culture of knowledge sharing, evangelizing new solutions, and working across the company to apply data processing patterns
- Balance the team's focus on delivering high-quality solutions while meeting business objectives and timelines

What you will bring:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
- 3+ years of experience managing software engineering teams, preferably in the data platform or big data software domain
- Strong technical background with 10+ years of software engineering experience, including a proven track record of delivering highly scalable and efficient solutions
- Experience with modern programming languages such as Java, Scala, or Python
- Familiarity with streaming / data processing technologies such as Beam, Spark, Kafka, Airflow, HBase, Presto
- Experience building enterprise-grade software in a cloud-native environment (GCP or AWS) using cloud services such as GCS/S3, Dataflow/Glue, Dataproc/EMR, Cloud Function/Lambda, BigQuery/Athena, BigTable/Dynamo
- Deep understanding of system architecture, design, and working with data at scale
- Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, SQL performance optimization, and experience with Graph and Vector databases or processing frameworks
- Experience with Kubernetes using GKE/EKS
- Strong leadership skills, with the ability to motivate, inspire, and manage high-performing teams
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams

The US base salary range for this position is $XXX,XXX - $XXX,XXX + variable compensation + benefits.
