  • Role Title:  DevOps Lead
  • Direct Report: VP of Web & Backend Engineering
  • Area: Engineering
  • Location: Serbia

We are seeking an experienced DevOps Lead to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for leading our DevOps initiatives, optimizing our development pipeline, and ensuring the reliability and scalability of our infrastructure. Our technology stack includes AWS, EKS, GitHub, Java, Kotlin, and Terraform. This role requires a strategic thinker with a passion for continuous improvement and a deep understanding of cloud infrastructure, container orchestration, and infrastructure as code.

Key Responsibilities: 
- Lead the DevOps team in designing, implementing, and maintaining our cloud infrastructure on AWS  using best practices and industry standards. 
- Manage and optimize our Kubernetes (EKS) clusters for scalability and reliability. 
- Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines in GitHub for our Java and Kotlin applications, ensuring smooth and efficient deployment processes. 
- Implement and manage infrastructure as code using Terraform, ensuring that all cloud resources are versioned and maintainable. 
- Collaborate with development teams to identify and resolve infrastructure bottlenecks, improve deployment strategies, and ensure high availability of services. 
- Drive the adoption of DevOps best practices across the organization, including automation, monitoring, and proactive incident management. 
- Stay abreast of new technologies and tools in the DevOps space, evaluating their applicability to our goals and integrating them as appropriate. 
 
Qualifications: 
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.(nice to have) 
- 5+ years of experience in a DevOps role, with at least 2 years in a leadership position. 
- Strong expertise in AWS services, Kubernetes (EKS), and Terraform. 
- Proficient in managing CI/CD pipelines, preferably with GitHub Actions. 
- Experience with programming languages such as Java and Kotlin would be a plus 
- Solid understanding of networking, security, and database management in a cloud environment. 
- Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to mentor and motivate team members. 
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure. 
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
