What you will do 

  • Manage and lead a high-performance team of data analysts being a technical reference, providing guidance, mentorship and support for analytics team. As senior leader, you will manage from ˜5 to ˜15 resources depending on the project allocation. As examples, run peer-review on components to check if best practices were followed for high quality products, recommend suitable data sources, models and methods that could be applicable to a particular use case ensuring scalability and high re-usability. Also foster for collaboration and productive work environment by sharing knowledge and experience with direct reports.
  • Partner with leaders across product, engineering, and commercial strategy to form a unified data-driven strategy. Support prioritization exercise on analytics requests for their team together with stakeholders and DPMs (data product managers), based on business impact, level of effort, etc
  • Actively balance efforts on team leadership with also hands-on development/coding of data products, metrics and visualizations to drive the business forwar
  • Drive commercial strategy by providing insights into current performance, and highlighting opportunity areas for growth. On that, conduct advanced data analysis, clustering, statistical modeling, and machine learning models to answer specific business questions, extract insights and predictive patterns from large datasets to explain and expose potential opportunities from data.
  • In order to use proper data required for such challenge, develop datasets/schemas consuming data from multiple sources such as internal databases, analytics tools, unstructured sources, and other external sources. Also produce great data storytelling to drive actions on such opportunities by designing and developing data visualizations using PowerBI.
  • Ensure the use of appropriate analytical methods to solve complex business problems.
  • Demonstrates a strong understanding of complex data models, data structures, and data governance best practices to support the data platform team on definitions and execution following best practices fit with use cases.
  • Effectively communicate complex technical concepts and analytical insights findings to non-technical stakeholders and senior leadership.

 

What you will need

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, data science & analytics or related course.
  • Strong analytical, problem solving, conceptual thinking skills and solid statistical analysis background with a focus on delivering data-driven solutions.
  • Excellent leadership, team management, and communication skills. Ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and present complex ideas to non-technical audiences.
  • 5-7+ years of work experience in data analytics, data science 
  • 3+ years of experience in Cloud solutions like Snowflake, Databricks, Redshift, BigQuery or Teradata.
  • Expertise in database querying and reporting tools (SQL + Power BI + DAX). Tableau & Mode will be considered as a plus.
  • Effective programming language skills (Python, PySpark, SQL), also experience on use SQL/NOSQL databases. – “R” considered a plus.
  • Experience analyzing data to identify key insights, gaps, and inconsistencies
  • Experience gathering complex business requirements and identifying data needs
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Proven ability to looking at solutions unconventionally and explore opportunities and devise innovative solutions
  • System Development Life Cycle and Agile Methodology familiarity
  • Experience with leveraging digital transactional and behavioral data to understand commercial impacts and user behavior as an input into ROI.
  • Excellent documentation and organization skills;
  • Advanced English is a must. Any other languages will be considered a plus.
