Backend Software Engineer (Contract Role)

San Diego, CA

We are looking for a Software Engineer to develop, maintain and build new features to support a wide variety of use cases on the PlayStation Network.

What you will be doing:

Implement and improve feature requests, often involving complex business logic
Maintain and improve the overall quality and performance of the existing service code
Work as a team to solve complex problems

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in computer science or similar field
5+ years professional software development experience
Experience building and working on back-end services written in Java
Experience with building and maintaining RESTful APIs

Nice to haves:

Experience building and using AWS components
Familiarity with Jenkins or other CI/CD tools
Experience working in Agile/Scrum software development methodologies

At SIE, we consider several factors when setting each role’s base pay range, including the competitive benchmarking data for the market and geographic location.

Please note that the base pay range may vary in line with our hybrid working policy and individual base pay will be determined based on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location.

$127,400—$191,000 USD
