The Basics:

The Senior Cloud Cybersecurity (CCS) Detection and Response Engineer will collaborate with Detection, Security, and Software Engineers to proactively defend Tanium Cloud's services. You will be an integral part of the Tanium Cloud security engineering processes, responsible for the design, implementation, and operation of preventative, detective, and responsive controls to identify, assess, and counter risks and threats before impacting Tanium Cloud.

What you'll do:

Build and operate Tanium Cloud's detection and response engineering in Azure, AWS, and Kubernetes for detections, analysis, and responses as automation as code using DevOps methodologies
Continuously evaluate and enhance the design and effectiveness of Cloud and Kubernetes security measures and establish an ongoing program to advance security and close gaps in our defensive posture.
Proactively characterize unauthorized activity and malicious behaviors in our cloud and container infrastructure and systems through code, testing, and automation
Develop tailored detection policies, perform testing, and implement automation to observe, evaluate, enhance, and review security information using SecDataOps and best practices.
Proactively integrate the latest security threats, vulnerabilities, and industry trends to enhance security detection measures and generate intelligence driven hunts.
Work together with the engineering, IT, and other security groups to create solutions that are expandable and adaptable to protect Tanium Cloud against threats ranging from low-level actors to national cyber-threat agents.
Build, cultivate, and maintain positive relationships with internal customers to identify and facilitate solutions to increase the impact of the team's work
Be on periodic on-call for triage of critical events from detections and systems

We're looking for someone with:

Education:

Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
Cloud Security, IT Security, or related technical field preferred

Cloud Detection Engineering Experience

5-7 years of experience in cloud security event prevention, detection, response for public cloud systems (e.g. AWS, Azure) within a DevOps environment

Experience in detection and response engineering methodologies, such as building detection cases, proactively identify known and unknown cyber threats, advisory behaviors

Engineering Experience

Utilize robust analytical and problem-solving capabilities to confirm our hypotheses using precise data and in-depth root cause investigation.
Experience using high-level programming languages (Go, Python) to produce detection-as-code, tools, and automations
Experience managing cloud infrastructure as infrastructure-as-code (e.g. Terraform, CloudFormation, ARM, Pulumi)
Deliver high quality PRs daily using modern software engineering development and automation tools like Git and CI/CD pipelines (i.e. Jenkins, GitHub Actions)

Other

The annual base salary range for this full-time position is $146,000 to $224,000 and this position will also be commission eligible. This range is an estimate for what Tanium will pay a new hire. What You’ll Do:

Work closely with our customers to;\n
- Operationalize, administer and maintain the Tanium Platform to solve complex technical issues independently or with the help of teammates
- Identify opportunities for our customers to get greater value from the Tanium platform
- Consistently and cogently address our customers’ needs through astute verbal and written communication skills

Conduct daily health-checks on assigned accounts & Work with Technical Support Engineers on strategic customer activities\n
- Contribute to and track activity, after action, root cause and daily status reports
- Document best practices and Play Book entries
- Work closely with CSMs on improving Tanium operational status within key accounts
- Provide technical direction to customer IT support staff

We’re Looking For:

Security Clearance: minimum Secret but Top Secret or DV preferred

Education: BA/BS or equivalent experience required

Experience:

5+ years of experience in IT/Consulting
5+ years of experience in Systems Administration/Engineering
Experience working with public sector customers
Ability to speak German and English
Strong troubleshooting skills
Ability to articulate and communicate
Broad knowledge across several technical domains, coupled with deep knowledge in one or more of the following:\n
- Endpoint Security
- Endpoint Support/Troubleshooting
- Incident response
- Systems Management
- Systems Administration
- Software Engineering
- Utility Scripting (e.g. Bash, PowerShell, VBScript, Python, etc.)

Demonstrated critical thinking skills
Ability to break a problem down into manageable, ordered piece parts
Ability to convey problem statement and plan of attack to others
Hands-on Tanium experience will be a major plus

What You'll Do:

Business Objective Realization: Play a crucial role in the customer journey to operationalize business objectives and provide value realization in complex or stalled adoption.
In-depth Knowledge Transfer: Involved in enabling end-users to effectively use Tanium products, to get past stalled adoption.
Post-sales Technical Advisory: Support and document technical setup and configuration of complex products into runbooks, due to stalled adoption from the customer. Able to provide onsite technical assistance for support issues causing adoption and/or churn risk.
Post-engagement Feedback: Following the engagement, provide documented feedback to Product, Engineering, Enablement, and Customer Service Operations.

We're Looking For:

- Associates degree or equivalent experience required

- 8+ years in the industry with solid technical skills in multiple areas such as networking, security, operations, scripting, and/or programming.
- Experience in one or more of the following technical domains: Endpoint Security, Endpoint Support/Troubleshooting, Incident Response, Systems Management, Utility Scripting (bash, PowerShell, VBScript, Python).
- Extensive Hands-on Tanium experience

The Basics:

The VP of Solutions Architecture - ServiceNow leads a team of Solution Architects within the Sales Alliances organization, overseeing the design and delivery of integrated Tanium and ServiceNow solutions throughout the full sales lifecycle. This individual brings senior-level expertise in ServiceNow consulting engagements and serves as a thought leader in go-to-market strategy and solutions development. The role requires strong executive presence, cross-functional collaboration, and a proven ability to align technical architecture with strategic business outcomes.

What you’ll do:

Lead and develop a team of Solution Architects, providing performance management, time allocation guidance, and process efficiency recommendations to drive team excellence

Define field strategy priorities and align with sales, product, and delivery stakeholders to accelerate pipeline and revenue growth

Engage C-level and executive stakeholders to position integrated Tanium and ServiceNow solutions and align technical capabilities with customer priorities

Architect scalable, secure, and resilient solutions leveraging deep expertise across ServiceNow modules (ITSM, ITOM, SecOps, GRC, Discovery, CMDB, IntegrationHub) and the Tanium platform (Asset, Patch, Comply, Threat Response, Deploy)

Lead technical discovery sessions, architecture reviews, and gap analyses to develop reference architectures and maintain a current solution documentation library

Design and deliver prototypes, proof-of-concept engagements, and tailored demonstrations to validate solutions and accelerate customer decision-making

Build compelling business cases in partnership with the Value Engineering team, including ROI and TCO models and competitive assessments, to support strategic sales initiatives

Enable and coach sales teams on solution selling methodologies, and monitor post-sale adoption and expansion opportunities to drive customer success

Report internal KPIs to leadership and external KPIs to customers, ensuring transparency and accountability across the solution architecture function

Guide the development of go-to-market materials leveraging AI tools and emerging technologies to support scalable, repeatable solution offerings

We’re looking for someone with:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business, or a related field, or equivalent experience
5-8 years of experience in solutions architecture, pre-sales engineering, or technical consulting, with a focus on ServiceNow and/or endpoint management platforms

Demonstrated experience leading or managing a team of technical professionals in a fast-paced, sales-aligned environment

Proven track record conducting ServiceNow consulting engagements across modules such as ITSM, ITOM, SecOps, GRC, Discovery, CMDB, and IntegrationHub

Experience integrating Tanium and ServiceNow with Microsoft ecosystems using REST APIs, webhooks, and middleware solutions

Familiarity with integration technologies including REST APIs, webhooks, and middleware platforms

Experience with value selling methodologies and customer journey development across the sales cycle

Proficiency using AI-based tools for the development of go-to-market materials and solution artifacts
