Nextiva is seeking a dynamic and experienced Website Owner / Lead Web Developer with expertise in WordPress to join our innovative team. Reporting to the VP Revenue Marketing, As the Website Owner/ Lead Web Developer, will take ownership of Nextiva's WordPress-based websites and play a pivotal role in driving continuous improvement and innovation to elevate the Nextiva web experience, with a strong emphasis on building a revenue-generating website and marketing-focused strategies.
Key Responsibilities:
Website Ownership: Take full ownership of Nextiva's WordPress-based websites, ensuring their functionality, performance, and security. Oversee the design, development, and maintenance of WordPress sites, ensuring they align with Nextiva's brand, business objectives, and revenue goals. Lead initiatives to improve our web experience on WordPress platforms, focusing on user-centric design principles, performance optimization, and revenue-generating features.
Vendor Management: Select, brief, and manage a creative web agency to run a redesign project in conjunction with the Wordpress re-platforming of the websites. Collaborate with external vendors, agencies, and service providers when necessary for website development, maintenance, or enhancement projects.
Website Content Management: Oversee content creation, maintenance, and updates for the website, ensuring accuracy and relevance. Collaborate with content creators, designers, digital program managers, and developers to produce high-quality web experiences.
User Experience (UX) and Design: Lead efforts to improve the website's UX, navigation, and overall design to enhance user engagement. Ensure a consistent and visually appealing brand presence.
Lead Generation and Conversion Optimization: Develop and implement strategies to convert website visitors into leads through forms, CTAs, and landing pages. Implement A/B testing and optimization to increase conversion rates.
Analytics and Reporting: Utilize web analytics tools to monitor website performance, track user behavior, and provide insights for continuous improvement. Report on website KPIs to inform decision-making.
Website Security and Compliance: Ensure the website's security, data privacy, and compliance with relevant regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA). Monitor and mitigate potential security risks.
Mobile Optimization: Ensure that the website is responsive and optimized for mobile devices to provide a seamless user experience across platforms.
SEO and Organic Traffic Growth: Collaborating with the SEO team, Implement SEO best practices to improve organic search visibility and drive relevant traffic. Conduct keyword research and optimize content for search engines.
Team Leadership and Development: Leading a team of developers, foster a collaborative and innovative work environment to maximize the potential of the web development team, with a keen focus on aligning web strategies with marketing and sales initiatives. Instill a belief across the team that there is always room for improvement and actively seek out opportunities to enhance the overall quality, functionality, and revenue potential of our WordPress sites.
Business Impact: Develop and implement strategies to generate leads, pipeline and revenue through the website. Collaborate closely with marketing and sales teams to align web strategies with revenue goals and enhance the overall customer acquisition and retention experience.
Quality Oversight: Infuse a passion for testing into the development process, emphasizing the importance of thorough testing to maintain the highest standards of quality in our WordPress sites. Implement and promote testing best practices, including automated testing, to enhance the reliability and stability of our WordPress solutions.
Innovation and Personalization: Experiment and test tools, tactics and best practices to deliver personalized journeys on the website for verticals and segments.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
8+ years of relevant experience, with hands-on development experience focused on WordPress. Experience working within a B2B Marketing team in Marketing, Digital Marketing, Web Design, or a related field.
5+ years of experience in website management, preferably in a B2B SaaS or technology company.
Expertise in setting up and managing content management systems (CMS) and website analytics tools. WordPress preferred
In-depth knowledge of WordPress, themes, plugins, and customization.
Hands-on experience working with a team of front and backend developers. Familiarity with HTML, JavaScript, CSS, and XML is a plus
Experience with testing methodologies and a commitment to quality assurance.
Strong understanding of SEO best practices and digital marketing concepts.
Experience with website design principles and user experience (UX) design.
Excellent project management skills with the ability to manage multiple initiatives concurrently.
Knowledge of website security and data privacy best practices.
Strong communication and collaboration skills.
