What we're looking for

We're looking for a talented Tech Lead with the ability to iterate rapidly that loves food, big challenges, and a powerful purpose; who can get things done in a high-impact, small teams Engineering organization.

The Role - Tech Lead

As the Tech Lead, you own the tactical and strategic technical direction of your squad. It’s a high-impact role with the ability to influence all parts of CookUnity. This role has both individual contributor responsibilities and leadership responsibilities, guiding the work of 2-3 engineers.

You will contribute with product designers to delight our customers with our user and customer experience. You will succeed in impacting the business moving the order rate by using data insights and eater feedback from experiments.

Your Team - Menu Squad

The Menu Squad is responsible for developing an innovative menu experience that showcases the CookUnity’s variety and enables eaters to find and discover meals they love. Each customer has their own food preferences, restrictions, and favorite meals. The CookUnity menu has a wide variety. We want to find the easiest way to let the customer create their orders, at the same time he can perform it in the fastest way.

The team develops features using data insights, eater feedback from user research experiments to increment the order rate of the user.

The Menu Squad is responsible for making this journey seamless and delightful. The team is part of the Engagement Zone which includes similar squads developing the Mobile Experience and the Onboarding Experience.

Languages: Javascript

Frameworks: ReactJS, Redux, Sagas, NodeJS, Express, GraphQL and Apollo.

Databases: MySQL and MongoDB.

Infrastructure: AWS Based: Kubernets, S3, CloudFront and RDS.

Lead design and implementation of the menu experience, including menu components included throughout the site, and supporting backend services.
Iteratively develop new features and improve existing functionality.
Actively contribute to the adoption of strong software architecture, development best practices, and new technologies.
Participate in and improve the code review process and help mentor other engineers.
Contribute code alongside your team, remove roadblocks, and help repair technical issues.
Partner with members of other squads to continually refine and improve our product in an agile process.
