What you'll do:  
Act as subject matter expert within Business and Technology teams.
Own the technical architecture and design of systems.
Design technical solutions based on business and functional requirements.
Guarantee clear documentation is mantained.
Ensure welldefined processes (e.g. code reviews, static analysis, etc.) are in place to maintain coding best practices.
Review code changes and solutions with the business justifying for tasks.
Guide the development process providing application/system architecture knowledge,
Conduct vendor evaluation on technical and software matters to support negotiations
Debugs or troubleshoot complex or critical issues that cannot be handled by engineering positions.
Create training programs for technologies within fields of expertise.

What you'll need to succeed:
Expertise in architectural patterns. 
Proficiency in designing and developing rich backend and web applications using various technologies and web services. 
Competence in design patterns and software engineering principles. 
Hands-on involvement in software development, scripting, and project management. 
Solid knowledge of event-based platforms (e.g., Kafka, Event Bridge, Cassandra). 
Experience using system monitoring tools (e.g., New Relic) and automated testing frameworks. 
Knowledge of selected programming languages (e.g., Python, C++, Java/J2EE platform), relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL) and NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB). 
Skillfulness in creating comprehensive technical documentation for specialized software solutions. 
An understanding of integrating software systems and ensuring interoperability, particularly in complex and specialized environments. 
Proficiency in deploying, troubleshooting, and leveraging tools such as Grunt, Maven, Ant, PowerShell for process automation & scripting, as well as Jenkins, GitLab, SonarQube, BitBucket for continuous integration, coupled with expertise in cloud-based solutions (preferably Amazon) and deployment guidelines. 
Fluency in system security within various platforms including Unix and Linux, SSL certificates, singlesign-on, data encryption, and role-based authorization. 
Familiarity with parallelization, MapReduce, and similar algorithms, with an understanding of when to apply these techniques and their costs and risks. 
Capable of configuring continuous integration servers and defining multiple environments as required for each project, as well as designing and choosing a quality assurance process for the project, including guidelines for unit tests, load testing, and performance.
