About the job

This position is needed to build and scale our global Silent Network Auth and Identity products within the Account Security business unit.  You will be part of our team based out of Bangalore, India focussing on System Operations and Reliability of our Cloud based platform and services.

Responsibilities

In this role, you’ll:

  • Ensure reliability, availability and security, of cloud-based distributed systems built to seamlessly scale to several million transactions per day, tackling some of the most complex and exciting technical problems in the industry
  • Configure, maintain, monitor and optimize AWS, Google, and other cloud infrastructures with deployments in different geographic regions.
  • Design, code and troubleshoot CI/CD pipelines, support containerisation activities.
  • Write automation tools in Python/Bash/Perl and use frameworks like ansible, terraform 
  • Participate in production on call rotation/support activities.
  • Collaborate with different teams to troubleshoot applications and services for mobile and the web.

Required:

  • 5+ years of experience with SRE culture, improving reliability with automation, chaos testing, and process improvement.
  • Experience designing and operating distributed systems and cloud infrastructure at scale.
  • Solid Knowledge of Cloud Provider Tools, preferably in GCP or AWS stack
  • System administrator level knowledge of Unix/Linux Operating systems and tools. 
  • Hands-on experience in automating and improving the deployment pipelines and CI/CD in the public cloud.
  • Scripting programming skills such as Ansible, Terraform, Chef or other frameworks and languages like Python/Perl/Bash
  • Experience working on security evaluations and penetration tests
  • Knowledge in techniques such as Infrastructure as code, containerization and container orchestration tools
  • Ability to analyze and troubleshoot in networking, performance, system and infrastructure issues using standard tools.
  • Experience working on a distributed team, with different time zones
  • Experience with on call rotation

 

Desired:

  • Familiarity and Experience with programming in languages like Java, React and or Golang.
  • Certification in GCP/AWS
  • Capable of reasoning about SWE concepts such as API definitions, database modeling ,microservices architecture and common failure modes.

 

Location 

This role will be based in our Bangalore, India office. (Change to standard verbiage for India)

Approximately ~5% travel is anticipated.
