Why Box needs you:

As a Software Engineer at Box, you will be responsible for integrating AI models into ML Platform and ensuring these models are accessible to various Box services using Google Cloud Platform (GCP) technologies. You will collaborate with teams to onboard AI models, utilize GCP services, especially Vertex AI, develop RESTful services and APIs for integration within Box's ecosystem, using tools like Kubernetes and Jenkins for continuous integration and deployment, and ensure the reliability and performance of deployed solutions. In this role, you will be innovating, developing the automation, systems and processes that enable rapid models exposing with ensuring tight alignment with our compliance and availability goals. As we evolve the infrastructure and move towards a service oriented architecture, it is imperative that we redefine how we think about operationalizing services in a scalable distributed system. You’ll be collaborating across Engineering and Product to ensure ML Platform is a core part of the Box AI strategy.

What you'll do:

• Attend and engage in daily stand ups, team meetings, manager 1:1s

• Work collaboratively with other engineers, team members and across teams (Poland & USA) on supporting, improving and adding new features to ML Platform

• Plan and effectively execute on project and quarterly deliverables.

• Provide input in implementing standards across all product teams at Box

• Participate in production on-call rotation with your team members

• Play a role in developing and fostering Box culture in the newly created office

• Represent Box Poland internally and externally

 

Who you are:

• You have 3+ years of professional software development experience,

• You have experience with Java and popular scripting languages (Python/PHP/etc),

• You are oriented for solving problems regardless of technology - small modifications of Python or PHP will happen time to time,

• You communicate and complete project milestones with manager and team members in a time sensitive manner,

• You are passionate about new technologies and can implement them in existing products,

• You enjoy working in a dynamic project environment and rapid prototyping

• You speak English proficiently

• Beneficial skills:

• Prior experience of using AI models

• Prior experience with GCP/Kubernetes/Jenkins pipelines

Percentage of Time Spent:

• 50% coding
