We are currently seeking a Software Engineer II who is passionate about creating innovative solutions for SMBs to join our Core AR team. You will be joining a dynamic, cross functional team with the goal of rejuvenating the invoicing experience for our customers. The tech stack you will get to work with includes Angular, GraphQL, Jest, Cypress and Java in an AWS environment.

More specifically, you will be responsible to:

  • Collaborate closely with the product manager and product designer to understand customer problems and contribute to creative and robust solutions
  • Participate in the design, building, and maintenance of software solutions; take responsibility for the quality and functionality of code you write and contribute to services running in production
  • Actively seek opportunities for learning from senior and peer team members; be open to receiving mentorship and guidance
  • Contribute to ensuring quality practices in the implementation process, from solution design to production, under the guidance of senior team members
  • Understand and implement suitable coding practices and security standards
  • Develop an understanding of and implement good coding practices and security standards, with a focus on continuous improvement
  • Embrace an agile mindset, showing a willingness to understand the 'why' behind tasks and to adapt to changes and feedback in a fast-paced environment

We’d love to chat if you have:

  • 3+ years of software development experience OR 2+ years of experience with masters in relevant fields, with a good understanding of core web technologies
  • Proficiency in core web technologies such as HTML, CSS, Bootstrap, and JavaScript
  • Familiarity with testing frameworks like Jest and Cypress, and the ability to apply them in application testing
  • Experience with a modern framework such as Angular for developing user-facing features, or willingness to learn
  • Interest in building visually appealing UIs and user-centric features, with an emphasis on code quality and user experience
  • Some experience in designing and building frontend solutions, with a focus on contributing to medium to large-scale projects
  • Good understanding of testing methodologies, with a keen interest in learning and applying automation at various stages of development
  • Experience working on customer-facing features utilizing AI/ML services
  • DevOps experience to build and deploy micro-frontend applications
  • Web performance improvements and tuning experience 
  • Familiarity with working in agile development environments
  • Experience working in cloud infrastructure is nice to have, but not essential!

The estimated salary  range for this role is noted below for our San Jose based role.  Our ranges for each role and job level are based on a variety of factors including candidate experience, expertise, and geographic location and may vary from the amounts listed above. The role is also eligible for a competitive benefits package that includes: medical, dental, vision, life and disability insurance, 401(k) retirement plan, flexible spending & health savings account, paid holidays, paid time off, and other company benefits.

$126,500$151,800 USD
