WHY BOX NEEDS YOU
As a Software Engineer II on the Enterprise Experience team, you’ll contribute to building secure, scalable, and user-friendly tools that help enterprise administrators manage their data and users with confidence. Your work will directly support Box’s security and compliance efforts and improve the experience for customers and internal teams alike.
You’ll help develop and enhance the Admin Console, a critical product that gives enterprise customers visibility and control over how content is accessed and shared. You’ll also contribute to internal tools that support Box employees. This is a great opportunity to grow your full-stack development skills while collaborating with experienced engineers, product managers, designers, and security teams across the company.
You'll be working on modernizing our systems, improving performance, and shipping features that make life easier for both end users and Box admins.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
Build and enhance features across the Admin Console and internal tools using technologies like React, Node.js, Java, and TypeScript
Collaborate with team members across engineering, product, and design to understand requirements and implement solutions
Contribute to the modernization of our codebase by helping refactor legacy components and improve system performance
Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code across the stack
Participate in Agile development processes including sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives
Contribute to code reviews and take part in on-call rotations to help support production systems
WHO YOU ARE
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience in related fields
Approximately 2 years of professional or relevant software development experience preferred
You’re comfortable working with JavaScript/TypeScript, and at least one backend language like Java or Node.js
You have strong fundamentals in software engineering and are comfortable working on both frontend and backend code
You enjoy collaborating with teammates and working in a fast-paced, agile environment
You have experience building REST APIs and user interfaces using frameworks like React.js or Spring Boot
