A Look Inside the Job - You will:  

  • Partner with Software Engineers and Product Owners to provide leadership and technical expertise to support your team  
  • Work with stakeholders across the organization, nurturing cross-functional relationships, and partnering as “one team” towards common business goals  
  • Develop strategy and help set direction in alignment with departmental and organizational goals 
  • Promote a world-class customer experience and ensure collective delivery of a high-quality product 
  • Drive continuous improvement in all aspects of the software development life-cycle 
  • Remove impediments and drive business results through active communication and collaboration with our product, engineering, and stakeholder teams 
  • Actively manage day-to-day software development
  • Cultivate an inclusive and collaborative engineering culture 
  • Hire, mentor, and retain top engineering talent

Requirements:  

  • BS/MS in Computer Science
  • 4+ years of experience in managing development teams using Atlassian products
  • 7+ years of experience in Ruby and React
  • 3+ years of experience in Cloud infrastructure (AWS)
  • 3+ years of experience in build pipelines and Continuous Integration in AWS
  • Planning development activities for the development of the features using Scrum
  • Ensure delivery on time and within budget
  • Maintain management and development documentation, enforce management polices
  • Work with product owners on the technical evaluations and stories break-down
  • Prepare and document technical solutions for new features and migrations with the development team
  • Run development standup and prepare a business overview
  • Review code commits and pull requests
  • Plan and execute process improvements
  • Work closely with the QA Manager on Release testing
  • Release planning and execution
