Social Finance, LLC seeks Software Development Engineer in Seattle, WA:
Job Duties: Develop and maintain Big Data Infrastructure which enables various financial
products such as Invest, Home Loans and Relay to migrate to centralized SoFi Data Platform.
Partner with finance teams like Invest, Lending and various cross-functional teams to implement
and design interfaces and abstractions to the SoFi Data Platform. Lead the development of
sensitive data cleansing solutions utilizing the complex mathematical and financial skills and
monitor the performance. Contribute to high-performance batch and stream data processing
systems utilizing fintech domain expertise and big data tools. Sharpen skills as a Big Data
Product owner, present cost-benefit solutions to various teams across SoFi on how to get their
data right from multiple ingestion pipelines. Create and support systems and processes used for
machine learning processing systems to report real-time analytics on multiple financial products
across SoFi. Telecommuting is an option.
Minimum Requirements: Master’s degree (or its foreign degree equivalent) in Computer
Science, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related discipline, and six (6) months of
experience in the job offered or related field
Special Skill Requirements: (1) Distributed Systems; (2) Object-Oriented Programming; (3)
Database Management Systems; (4) SQL; (5) Utilizing AWS Cloud Services; and (6) Integrating
and consuming scalable web services and APIs. Telecommuting is an option.
