This is a remote position, so you’ll be working remotely from your home. You may occasionally visit a GoDaddy office to meet with your team for events or meetings.

Join our team

Dynamic group of developers powering a part of GoDaddy’s Website + Marketing (W+M) platform. We manage provisioning for Websites + Marketing and other GoDaddy products and oversee a high-throughput, low-latency event bus, and own the APIs responsible for managing customer accounts. As a small team, we play a pivotal role in maintaining the critical infrastructure behind GoDaddy’s platform, delivering reliable and scalable services. Most of our systems run on AWS, ensuring optimal performance. 

What you'll get to do...

  • You will be responsible for implementing new features, fixing bugs, improvising our existing services, code reviews, being on-call handling critical issues.
  • Design, develop, and maintain secure, highly available, fault-tolerant, and globally performant code deployed on the AWS cloud.
  • Participate in implementing, testing, and maintaining client and server-side platforms.
  • Write efficient, maintainable code following best practices, and ensure code quality through extensive unit and integration testing.
  • Investigate and resolve production issues, ensuring your team's DevOps on-call responsibilities.
  • Contribute to technical documentation, code reviews, and mentoring fellow engineers.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest front-end technologies and browser nuances and guide other developers.

Your experience should include...

  • 3+ years of experience in a software engineering role.
  • Strong experience in JavaScript/TypeScript, Node.js.
  • Experience developing and designing RESTful APIs.
  • Strong experience with version control software (Git preferred).
  • Experience working in agile teams and deploying code using Git-based workflows and CI/CD technologies.

You might also have...

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field or equivalent experience.
  • hands-on experience with AWS technologies and cloud computing services.
  • experience in React, Redux, Next.js, and Webpack.
  • Familiarity with application performance monitoring tools like ElasticAPM.
  • Familiarity with testing frameworks like Cypress.
  • Experience with CI/CD workflows, Kubernetes, GitHub Actions, and other DevOps tools.
