Senior Web Developer – Marketing

Web Team intro:

As part of the Web and Digital Experience team supporting the Marketing department of SmartBear, we develop and maintain all the corporate, open-source, and e-commerce websites across all of the properties owned by SmartBear. With millions of visitors each month, we focus on user experience, web analytics and accessibility, content organization, and utilizing the latest web technologies to support a growing and ever-changing environment.

About the role:

As a Senior Web Developer you will work closely the internal web team, as well as the broader Marketing organization, including product managers, growth marketers, and designers, and our digital experience team. You will be empowered to contribute to improving our tools and processes, to ensure we continue to provide an industry-leading working environment.

  • Website maintenance across multiple content management systems, platforms, and technologies 
  • Provides technical support and mentorship to junior and mid-level developers 
  • Provides advisor-level support to multiple projects simultaneously
  • Participates in defining and constructing functional requirements, wireframes, and prototypes, focusing on web performance and scalability
  • Participates in developing, debugging, and modifying source code
  • Takes part in design and code reviews
  • Keeps current with new web technologies, standards, and best practices 

We are looking for you if you have:

  • 5-7 years hands-on experience with web development programming languages and technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, SCSS, GIT, PHP, C#, NPM, Node.js, React, Vue
  • Experience with AWS (Route53, EC2, S3, and CloudFront)or Cloudflare
  • Experience building and migrating websites in a content management system (CMS), including deployment, configuration, and launch (Kentico or WordPress a plus)
  • Experience with TeamCity, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or other CI/CD tools
  • Advanced understanding of UI, cross-browser compatibility, general web functions and standards
  • Experience with Playwright, Selenium, Cypress, Jest, or other testing frameworks
  • Organized with great attention to detail
  • English on at least B2 level
