Design, build, and support the most popular GraphQL client implementation that the world's largest companies depend on for their GraphQL needs.

Join the Apollo Client team to develop new features, share ideas, and help build a state of the art client library for real teams using GraphQL in production. We are an open source company — our products are built for developers, by developers, with the help of a worldwide community of contributors and are downloaded millions of times per week.

We're on a mission to make product development as fast, easy, and productive as possible, and we're excited about GraphQL because it makes code faster to write and easier to understand.

What you'll do

  • Work on cutting edge OSS client libraries and tools, blazing new trails, helping push the entire GraphQL ecosystem forward.
  • Design, discuss, and implement new features in the open source Apollo Client project, that helps people manage data for their clients using GraphQL.
  • Listen to the Apollo Client community of developers, work with them to understand their needs, help develop project roadmaps that represent community expectations, and work on delivering this functionality.
  • Work closely with the Apollo Client community to address reported bugs, review and merge contributor pull requests, and help new Apollo community members get engaged and ramped up to become project contributors.
  • Engage with the Apollo Client community through various outlets; write blog posts, answer questions on Stack Overflow, help our community on Discourse, and participate at our GraphQL Summit conferences.

About you

  • You are excited about making complex data management easier for teams. Bonus points if that excitement includes GraphQL or Apollo!
  • You like to keep up with the latest developments in the JavaScript ecosystem, especially for popular client side projects like React.
  • You understand front-end development workflows, and care about building a high quality experience that makes developers happy.
  • You enjoy helping people, having collaborative design discussions, and talking about your work, online and in person.
  • You have a positive, sunny communication style – a “rising tide lifts all boats” mentality.
  • You enjoy collaborating with others, reviewing code and getting your code reviewed, and seeking feedback often.
  • You are not afraid to ask for help when you need it and generous with help when others ask.
