WHAT YOU'LL DO

Braze’s Frontend Infrastructure & Experience team has two high-impact missions. Our infrastructure mission is to make it easy for engineers to build high-quality client-facing UIs that have great UX and that are consistent with Braze’s brand. This work has involved building our design system and component library, frontend testing infrastructure, and code generation tools. Similarly, as part of our experience mission, we have focused on building the customer-facing data table, search and navigation features in our product.

As a Senior Engineer on Braze’s Frontend Infrastructure & Experience team, you will be responsible for building exceptionally high-impact features, tools, and components.

The team’s projects have included:

  • Leveraging TypeScript to write a type-safe system for interpolation into internationalized strings
  • Building a search feature that lets our users quickly find their company’s marketing campaigns, audiences, templates, etc.
  • Building a maintainable date picker component that correctly handles accessibility and localization
  • Setting up a robust end-to-end testing system using Cypress
  • Building consensus around a better approach to dealing with global frontend state by writing a design doc and proof-of-concept
  • Writing tooling to scaffold endpoints on the frontend complete with type safety, validators, and tests

Parts of our stack with which you will work:

  • TypeScript

  • Ruby on Rails

WHO YOU ARE

  • Have 5+ years of relevant experience with a strong track record of success
  • Are a master at working in modern frontend languages and frameworks. (TypeScript, React, ES6, Vue, Angular, etc.)
  • Have experience with backend development
  • Have a user-centric attitude and care deeply about UX
  • Pride yourself on writing elegant, maintainable code
  • Are comfortable working in a large frontend codebase with many stakeholders
  • Bonus experience
    • Experience building design systems and component libraries
    • Experience with localization and accessibility
    • Experience with frontend testing frameworks (e.g., Cypress, Playwright)
    • Experience with automated code transformation tooling (codemods)
    • Experience with Ruby on Rails
