We are seeking an experienced Senior Salesforce Technical Lead to join Discord's Business Systems team. In this role, you will lead the architecture, design, and development of Salesforce solutions across Ad Sales. You will partner closely with the Technical PM, business stakeholders, and cross-functional teams to deliver scalable, high-quality Salesforce solutions that power Discord's core business operations.

What you'll be doing

Lead the architecture, design, and development of Salesforce solutions across Ad Sales (Sales Cloud).
Create and execute the Ad Sales Roadmap; drive delivery against 2026 priority items including platform enhancements, new feature builds, and ongoing maintenance.
Lead the 3rd party development team by establishing technical direction, conducting code reviews, and collaborating with the MuleSoft team on developing and maintaining integrations.
Architect Salesforce and middleware integrations via REST/SOAP APIs and MuleSoft; partner with the Technical PM and RevOps to translate business requirements into robust, scalable solutions.
Manage AppExchange apps and HubSpot/Asana integrations; ensure ITGC and SOX audit readiness across all platform changes and deployments.

Own end-to-end DevOps standards for the team: define coding standards, manage CI/CD pipelines and deployment trackers, and ensure SDLC/ITGC compliance across all phases of the sprint/dev cycle.
Step in to troubleshoot and diagnose critical issues when they arise.
Provide L2 (Incident and Problem Management) and L3 (Bug Fixes and Minor Enhancements) technical support across the Salesforce platform, ensuring timely resolution and minimal business disruption.
Maintain technical design documents and platform documentation in Google Drive and Confluence.

What you should have

6+ years of hands-on Salesforce development experience with a focus on Sales Cloud, and a proven track record of delivering successful projects.
Highly proficient with APEX, Lightning Web Components (LWC), Visualforce, and Salesforce's declarative tools (Flows, Process Builder, Validation Rules).
Experience supporting Ad Sales workflows right from inception to delivery.
Proven experience architecting integrations using REST/SOAP APIs, Middleware, and tools like MuleSoft or similar platforms.
Deep knowledge of SDLC, ITGC, DevOps, and CI/CD pipelines within a Salesforce environment.
Strong communication skills with the ability to work across technical and non-technical team members.
Experience with Agile/Scrum methodology, including sprint planning, standups, and retrospectives; proficient with Jira for sprint tracking and backlog management, and Jira Service Manager (JSM) for incident tracking and change management.
Proficient with version control using Git, including branching strategies, pull requests, and code reviews within a Salesforce development workflow (e.g., Copado, Gearset, or SFDX-based pipelines).
Experience with Salesforce environment management (sandbox strategy, release management) and data migration tools (Data Loader, Bulk API).

Preferred Qualifications

Familiarity with the Quote-to-Cash cycle in Salesforce, including CPQ, product configuration, pricing rules, quote templates, and approval workflows.
Salesforce Platform Developer II or Application Architect certification.
Experience with HubSpot and Asana integrations within a Salesforce ecosystem.

This team is where reports and signals become decisions. We build the LLM pipelines that review reported content, the systems that carry enforcement out, the appeals path users take when we get it wrong, and the tooling our investigators and content reviewers work in every day. Most safety reviews are now decided by automation instead of a person, at a cost per review that has fallen by more than 90% on mature workflows and at precision and recall above trained human reviewers. What's left to automate is the ambiguous, high-stakes end, and with appeals arriving by the hundreds of thousands, getting users a fast and fair answer matters as much as catching harm.

We're hiring an Engineering Manager to lead the team: nine engineers across three squads, each with an experienced tech lead. One builds the automated review systems; another owns enforcement, warnings, and the infrastructure behind appeals; and the final owns tooling that enables analysts to be effective. You'll report to the Director of Engineering for Safety and work closely with our content review operations, machine learning, product, policy, and legal teams. The charter is larger than the current headcount, and we expect the role to grow with it.

Lead three squads, Review, Enforce, and Tooling through their tech leads, setting direction across automated review, enforcement, and appeals

The Experimentation team at Discord is responsible for building the tools, systems, and processes that empower Discord employees to continually test hypotheses and improve our product in a data-informed way.

We are looking for a Staff Software Engineer to lead the development of Discord's next-generation experimentation platform, including building state-of-the-art AI assisted experimentation workflows. You will lead and mentor engineers, fostering their growth and enhancing their skills.

What you'll be doing

Design, build, and support Discord's next generation experimentation platform: scope of work would include core services, data pipelines, configuration tooling, statistical analysis tools and UX.
Collaborate with external (sometimes non-technical) stakeholders and customers throughout the company
Understand and influence product telemetry practices to support experimentation needs.
Use your technical expertise to build delightful user experience and high-scale data systems that power internal teams and product features used by many millions of users every day
Deliver business results by collaborating with stakeholders across Discord to experiment on features, machine learning models and more.

What you should have

You have 7+ years of experience as a full-stack SWE
You have built internal tools, and are familiar with A/B testing and statistical frameworks.
You have experience with experimentation tooling; experience building core parts of experimentation platforms from scratch is a huge plus.
You have extensive experience leading complex technical projects with successful outcomes; you can take a high-level goal and achieve a shippable solution
You have built systems with strong data governance controls that respect privacy and security principles.
You are proficient in Python and SQL. Experience with Typescript or Rust is a plus.
Experience and with and/or exposure to a variety of datastores (relational, NoSQL, data warehouse solutions)
Strong product sense and communication skills - you understand your customers and work well cross-functionally.
A track record of developing engineers at multiple levels, and a habit of tracking industry trends to bring new techniques to technical problems.

Bonus Points

Experience building human-in-the-loop AI systems and AI product evaluation.
Experience with cloud-computing platforms such as Google Cloud Platform or AWS.
Experience with modern data processing stacks.
Full-stack development or product engineering experience.
Deep understanding of statistics, data science, or large scale data processing.
