Who We Are

Nuro exists to better everyday life through robotics. The company’s custom electric autonomous vehicles are designed to bring the things you need—from produce to prescriptions—right to your home. Nuro’s autonomous, goods-focused solution can give you valuable time back and more freedom to do what you love. This convenient, eco-friendly alternative to driving has the potential to make streets safer and cities more livable.

About the Team

The behavior and motion planning team at Nuro is responsible to generate and select optimal, safe and smooth trajectories across all scenarios the NuroDriver can encounter. We are applying state of the art machine learning and robotics techniques in order to solve the behavior, motion planning and decision making problem.

About the Role

As a behavior engineer for contingency and failover planning you will be researching and developing algorithms that ensure the availability and selection of safe trajectory options for the NuroDriver at any time. This includes the detection and reaction to unexpected events like system degradations, hardware degradations, changes in road conditions and out of distribution events. You will be closely collaborating with our motion, behavior and maneuver planning teams as well as the system and safety teams
