Sr. Software Engineer

We’re looking for a Sr. Software Engineer who will craft and develop client and server-based security solutions and services for PlayStation® games on other platforms and devices. You will provide strong technical abilities in software development and highly scalable API designs.
Our team is innovating and crafting the next generation of gaming experiences on PlayStation Network! You will work alongside partners in engineering, product, design, and research to build tools and technologies that keep our players safe.

Role Responsibilities
- Design, implement and maintain scalable solutions across PC and other off-console platforms
- Produce excellent, detailed design and development documentation
- Work with multi-functional team members to deliver features on time, respond to evolving requirements, and strategic shifts in direction
- Familiar and comfortable with Agile/Scrum software development methodology
Qualifications
- 8+ years of programming experience in C/C++/C#/Java (or equivalent client development) developing Win32/64 apps, SDK, object-oriented design and design patterns, and passionate about writing high quality and well-architected code
- Experience with Windows/PC Security software development
- Experience in building and debugging high-performance and secure Windows applications or SDKs.
- Strong understanding of engineering standard methodologies – requirement gathering and analysis, design and develop secure and scalable code with unit tests, participate in code reviews and documentation; experience with multiple technology stacks
- Ability to balance periodic on-call duty, and defensive engineering to minimize impact
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or equivalent; Master's degree is a plus.
Advantageous but not required
- Experience with Web Services frontend and/or backend development
- Experience with security technology such as cryptography, SSL, code obfuscation, anti-tamper, tokenization, or digital signatures

At SIE, we consider several factors when setting each role’s base pay range, including the competitive benchmarking data for the market and geographic location.
Please note that the base pay range may vary in line with our hybrid working policy and individual base pay will be determined based on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location.

$187,700—$281,500 USD
