Senior Python Developer (Gaming)

We’re looking for Senior Python Developer (Gaming) to join one of our remote projects.

Your first project:

You will be a part of a team, that develops a backend for the mobile MMO game related to popular science-fiction, cult television series. That game is rapidly gaining worldwide popularity. It has been downloaded by 5 milion customers on iOS and Google Play stores.
You will cooperate with the 8-10 people.
Scrum team - Product Specialist, Client Engineers, Sales, QA, PM, UX/Designer, Backend Developers.

The recruitment process is well-organized and fast – there are 2 steps:
1. Introduction video call (30 minutes),
2. Technical video call (one hour) - Decision.

Technologies: Python, AWS, automated tests, C# + Unity (not mandatory), Redis, NoSQL, ORMs, UnixTools: AWS, Docker, Terraform, Kibana, Chef, Ansible.

Best practices: Agile/Scrum, CI/CD, Code Reviews

Your responsibilities will include:

• New features and game engine development on the backend side
• Writing and conducting unit and automated tests in Python- Design and develop the game server and associated tools and libraries, with a focus on low latency, scalability and consistency
• Work with game client developers to implement real-time, networked communications between game client and server.
• Implement tools to empower our LiveOps and game design teams in the creation of new and exciting game-play experiences.

Requirements

What’s important for us?

• 5/6+ years of experience in Python development, ideally in the gaming industry
• Experience in developing highly available back-end systems and servers or high-traffic web systems.
• Experience in Unix, NoSQL, and GIT.
• Availability – ASAP or maximum one-month notice period
• Fluent command in spoken and written English and Polish
  

You will score extra points for:

• Knowledge of AWS, Docker, Terraform, Kibana, Chef, Ansible, Redis and ORMs
• C# and Unity knowledge
• Knowledge basics of Agile/Scrum
