Description:

Senior Developer, Magento at Credera, will utilize best practices and methodologies to design and implement the best solution for our clients. This key member of our team contributes to the entire software development lifecycle including analysis, requirement specification, use case and data modeling, technical design, development, testing, implementation, and activation. This individual will be focused on delivering assigned tasks and/or specific tracks of the solution on time, escalating issues when appropriate as well as educating and leading others in the form of code reviews, workshops, and documentation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop enterprise level eCommerce solutions on Adobe Magento Commerce.
  • Build 3rd party systems integrations (ERP, Payment gateways, 3PL…etc)
  • Adhere to best practices for security and PCI compliance
  • Assist Magento team with establishing development tools and procedures
  • Focused on improving quality and developer experience
  • Lead development work on multiple Magento projects and support engagements simultaneously
  • Perform code reviews and manage code deployment schedules
  • Provide support to other technical leads when needed to support a collaborative environment
  • Work with the management team to grow and stay connected to the Magento ecosystem
  • Mentor the existing team on Magento features and best practices
  • Prioritize, influence, and negotiate priorities to determine deadlines
  • Conceptualize, design, estimate, and deliver solutions
  • Contribute to client proposals and quotes
  • Assist with Project reporting
  • Encourage collaboration between internal cross-functional teams
  • Maintain strong working relationships internally and with other departments to ensure open lines of communications regarding priorities, requirements, and status.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree required; Master’s preferred or equivalent work experience
    • Certifications: (Adobe) Magento 1 & 2 developer
  • 5+ years of progressive experience in eCommerce development.
  • 3+ years of experience with PHP, MySQL, and familiarity with HTML5, CSS3, SASS, Bootstrap, JavaScript, jQuery and other JS frameworks
  • Magento Cloud experience is a plus
  • Experience building major 3rd party systems integrations (ERPs, Payment Gateways, 3PL, etc.)
  • In-depth knowledge of web-application security vulnerabilities and how to avoid them, understanding PCI compliance concepts
  • Attention to detail, and ability to multitask and meet deadlines
  • Passion for quality and engineering excellence at scale
  • Understanding of Magento shell based installation ecosystem.
  • Proficient Linux user, understanding concepts behind LAMP stack applications
  • Strong communication and conflict resolution skills
  • Experience working in a consultancy firm. (highly desired)
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to tailor messages to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Ability to work within the US without limitations.
  • Ability to work in office / client site 3 days per week. (Required)

 

Compensation once you convert to a full-time W2 employee:

The salary range listed is for informational purposes. Credera treats all applicants as individuals taking into consideration but not limited to their professional and academic experience, specialized training, certifications and associated responsibilities as it relates to our specific industry. The salary range listed is just one component of our total compensation package for each unique employee. An estimated base salary of $110K – 120K is anticipated for this role in the US.

Hybrid Work Model:

Our employees have the flexibility to work remotely two days per week. We expect our team members to spend 3 days per week in person with the flexibility to choose the days and times that work best for both them and their project or internal teams. This could be at a Credera office or at the client site. You'll work closely with your project team to align on how you balance both the flexibility that we want to provide with the connection of being together to produce amazing results for our clients.

Travel:

Our goal is to keep out-of-market travel to a minimum and most projects do not require significant travel. While certain projects can require frequent travel (up to 80% for a period of time), our average travel percentage over a year for team members is typically between 10-30%. We try to take a personal approach to travel. You will submit your travel preferences which our staffing teams will take into account when aligning you to a role.
