Tapcart is the ultimate mobile commerce platform fueling the fastest growing brands. We power mobile apps for over 50 million consumers worldwide, processing over $6 billion in mobile commerce revenue.
Almost all ecommerce traffic comes from a mobile device; we turn these users into high retention growth for some of the largest brands, including Charlotte Russe, Pier 1, True Classic, and many more. Tapcart is trusted by thousands of brands to power their mobile experience by building mobile apps in hours (not months).
We’re looking for a Senior Data Analyst to join our growing Data Team.
As a Senior Data Analyst at Tapcart, your focus will be on defining and refining ETL processes and SQL transformations within complex data and systems. You’ll enable autonomous navigation through intricate data sets and turn them into actionable insights. You'll leverage visualization tools to craft reports and dashboards that drive decision-making for the business. You’ll also collaborate directly with business stakeholders to convert their data requirements into precise technical specifications so that we may use data strategically across the organization.
The ideal candidate has at least 5 years of experience in data warehousing, data transformation, cloud solutions, and SaaS integration tools and can use their experience to enhance data accessibility and integrity across the organization. Your ability to communicate complex data concepts to non-technical stakeholders and collaborate across teams will be critical in fostering a data-driven culture at Tapcart.
This position is ideal for someone with a strong analytical background, excited to apply their SQL and Python skills to drive business insights, and adept at navigating the challenges of rapidly evolving data environments. Your role will be pivotal in advancing Tapcart's data capabilities, directly impacting our strategic decisions and growth in the e-commerce sector.

- Profile data to gain in-depth understanding and familiarity
- Investigate data discrepancies to identify underlying system issues and root causes
- Analyze data to identify trends, patterns, and insights for informed decision-making
- Collaborate with business units to identify data needs and document existing data sources and usage patterns
- Translate business needs into technical requirements in close collaboration with data engineers and BI developers
- Develop comprehensive documentation on data architecture, user stories, and process flows
- Create and maintain documentation such as data dictionaries, source to target mapping
WHAT SKILLS YOU’LL NEED:
- At least 5 years of experience in all of the below
- Expert capabilities in performing ETL tasks and handling complex data transformations with minimal documentation
- Expert ability to perform complex data queries, reporting, and analysis with SQL
- Competence in using Python for data manipulation, automation, and backend processes
- Experience in creating dynamic dashboards and reports with tools like Looker Studio, Tableau, or similar
- Familiarity with leveraging SaaS data products (e.g., Fivetran, Stitch, dbt) for data integration and transformation
- Proven experience in data warehouse development, including data modeling and schema definition
- Practical knowledge of deploying data solutions on cloud platforms, especially Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and BigQuery
- Strong ability to collaborate with teams across functions, meeting data requirements with effective verbal and written communication and nurturing a team-oriented environment
- Ability to simplify complex technical ideas for diverse audiences
- Affinity for thoughtful, scalable designs with a commitment to best practices, plus favoring sustainable, well-structured data solutions over quick fixes
- Excellent self-management, time management, and virtual communication skills.
- Skilled in navigating and resolving challenges in fluid environments. Quick to learn, adapt, and proactively generate innovative solutions, even with limited information
