The Senior Business Analyst - Data and Process Management will play a crucial role in driving operational efficiency and data-driven decision-making within the organization. This position will focus on analyzing, optimizing, and improving business processes and data management practices to align with the company’s strategic goals. The Senior Business Analyst will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including IT, data science, and business units, to identify areas of improvement, streamline operations, and ensure the accuracy and integrity of data across the organization.
Business Process Analysis & Optimization:
- Analyze existing business processes to identify inefficiencies and areas for improvement, focusing on enhancing productivity and reducing costs.
- Work with stakeholders to define and document business requirements for new and improved processes, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives.
- Lead process mapping and re-engineering efforts to streamline workflows, improve data flow, and enhance overall operational efficiency.
- Develop and maintain detailed process documentation, including process maps, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and training materials.
Data Management & Analysis:
- Collaborate with data teams to ensure data management practices are aligned with business needs and are scalable across the organization.
- Analyze data to identify trends, patterns, and insights that support business decision-making and process improvements.
- Ensure the accuracy, consistency, and reliability of data across various systems and platforms, working closely with data governance and IT teams.
- Support the development and implementation of data quality initiatives, including data cleansing, validation, and enrichment processes.
Requirements Gathering & Solution Design:
- Elicit, analyze, and document business and data requirements from stakeholders across the organization.
- Translate business requirements into functional specifications for IT and development teams, ensuring solutions are aligned with business needs.
- Collaborate with IT and software development teams to design, test, and implement process and data management solutions.
- Serve as a liaison between business units and technical teams to ensure seamless communication and successful project outcomes.
Project Management & Implementation:
- Lead and manage projects related to process optimization and data management, ensuring timely delivery and alignment with business objectives.
- Develop project plans, timelines, and resource requirements, and monitor project progress to ensure milestones are met.
- Conduct post-implementation reviews to assess project success and identify lessons learned for future initiatives.
Stakeholder Collaboration & Communication:
- Engage with stakeholders at all levels of the organization to understand their needs, challenges, and opportunities related to data and processes.
- Provide regular updates and presentations to senior leadership on project status, process improvements, and data management initiatives.
- Facilitate workshops and training sessions to ensure stakeholders are informed and capable of adopting new processes and data practices.
Continuous Improvement:
- Stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in business process management and data analysis.
- Advocate for continuous improvement by regularly assessing and refining processes, tools, and methodologies.
- Foster a culture of data-driven decision-making and process excellence within the organization.
Qualifications:
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Data Science, Information Systems, or a related field. Master’s degree or relevant certification (e.g., CBAP, Six Sigma) is preferred.
Experience:
- 7+ years of experience in business analysis, process management, or data analysis, with a focus on high-tech or software industries.
- Proven track record of leading process improvement initiatives and delivering measurable results in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong experience in data management, including data governance, quality, and integration.
- Hands-on experience with process modeling tools and data analysis tools (e.g., SQL, Excel, PowerBI).
Skills:
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate complex data and processes into actionable insights.
- Strong project management skills, with experience leading cross-functional teams and managing multiple projects simultaneously.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
- Proficiency in data management and business process modeling tools.
- Knowledge of relevant industry standards and best practices in process management and data governance.
