Our technology stack:

  • The system management interface is written in React and is a Single Page Application. Therefore, backend teams are not engaged in layout, but only API development.
  • For backend development, we use Ruby and Golang
  • Some components and modules are written in Python (Data Science/ML). But mostly Python is used by the QA department for developing integration autotests.
  • Cloud deployed with Kubernetes/Helm and Terraform
  • Main frameworks used: Ruby On Rails (API only)/Sinatra; gin for Golang
  • Main databases used: PostgreSQL, Elasticsearch, Riak/S3, Tarantool, and Redis

About this opportunity:

We are looking for a person to join the "node" development team - the node for the primary analysis and filtering of HTTP requests. This part of the system is installed at the client and is a filter node. In fact, this is an analog of any modern next-generation WAF (NGWAF) with additional integration functionality with the Wallarm cloud. To do this, we need a C developer who will help us solve our problems faster and better.

What you will do:

  • Development of new functionality and support of the existing one as part of the development of our software.
  • Development of Nginx, Envoy, Tarantool, Kubernetes Nginx Ingress Controller modules.
  • Development of a library for DPI, parsing, and metrics calculation.
  • Bindings of libraries to different languages.

In this role you’ll need:

  • At least 3 years of experience with the C programming language.
  • Experience in developing code in the Linux OS environment.
  • Experience with development tools and processes, open-source and version control.
  • Understanding the principles of network protocols.
  • Experience with Git.
  • Good command of bash.
  • Proficiency in debugging and profiling tools (gdb, Valgrind, sanitizers, heaptrack, perf).
  • English at the level of reading technical documentation.

Additional advantages will be:

  • Experience with Nginx;
  • Knowledge of Ruby;
  • Basic understanding of Kubernetes.
