We are looking for our first Senior Automation Engineer to join the growing R&D organization. In your role, you will design, implement and execute our automation suites and act as the quality focal point in the embedded team.  We're looking for candidates who are passionate about technology, self-managed, and highly skilled who will work on new technologies in a fast-paced growing company.

Qualifications:

  • Over 5 years of experience in QA testing processes, including test planning and execution
  • More than 5 years of proven experience in automation testing
  • At least 3 years of experience with TypeScript, JavaScript, Java, or Python
  • Proven experience with the Playwright framework
  • Familiarity with the SaaS product lifecycle
  • Strong quality-focused mindset
  • Exceptional ability to understand cross-platform architectures and think from a user's perspective
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Proactive, self-managed, value-driven, and innovative thinker with strong communication skills

Bonus points:

  • Experience with Unit Testing / Component Testing - a big plus 
  • Knowledge of the FinTech industry
  • Experience in Cypress / Selenium

How is your day going to look, what you will be doing? 

  • Develop automated tests for features in our product, including sanity, regression, end-to-end and UI automation testing
  • Continuously refine and enhance our automation testing infrastructure (LIBTYFI approach)
  • Develop deep expertise in all aspects of the product and its ecosystem
  • Create automation tests from scratch for a complex, mission-critical system
  • Take an active part in test activities within the squad, including Test Planning, defining Quality Criteria, and managing Bug cycles
  • Collaborate closely with QA Testers, Developers, and Product Managers from the requirements stage through to production
  • Provide fast, accurate feedback on code coverage and overall product quality

About the department:  The Engineering department is the backbone of Melio. We provide consultation, support, and designs for technical solutions—supporting our customers and the entire organization. We get involved from the early stage of a project, making the connection between customer needs, and our product design, and then translating these into solutions. 

What’s our stack? In Melio, we are all in with AWS Serverless. This means all our services are managed by AWS and our infrastructure is deployed using SAM CLI built over CloudFormation. Serverless gives us the freedom to build, scale and deploy applications faster than ever. We combine the usage of relational and document DBS, write mainly in TypeScript and Python for consistency and ability to share resources.
