Public Safety Data Specialist (PDFs)

We are seeking a skilled and empathetic Public Safety Data Specialist with expertise in customer service and a strong background in public safety. This role is ideal for someone who can bridge the gap between technical and non-technical audiences, providing clear guidance and support. 

 

What You’ll Do 

  • Utilize PDF Handlebars and JSON path structures to generate dynamic PDF documents. 
  • Build templates to export data into custom exports and to fill in government mandated forms 
  • Talk to customers to find out what they need in their exports, help them meet their goals 
  • Helps colleagues within Mark43 to make fillable PDFs with existing templates 
  • Discover ways to improve PDF export tooling, the right candidate will collaborate with our engineers and designers to iterate and improve our existing template creation tooling and export workflows 
  • The right candidate may also implement those solutions in the code themselves 
  •  Experience with logic, parsing JSON, writing JavaScript, react 
  • Provide technical support and guidance to clients, ensuring they understand and can effectively use our solutions. 
  • Develop and maintain data analytics dashboards and reports to support public safety operations. 
  • Collaborate with public safety professionals, understanding their needs and translating them into technical solutions. 
  • Provide exceptional customer service, guiding non-technical users through complex processes with patience and clarity. 
  • Act as a liaison between the technical team and clients, ensuring clear communication and satisfaction. 
  • Gather and analyze customer feedback to continuously improve our services and products. 
  • Conduct training sessions and workshops for public safety personnel to enhance their understanding and use of our technology solutions. 
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of implemented solutions, adjusting as necessary to ensure optimal performance. 
  • Stay updated with the latest trends and advancements in public safety technology and data analytics. 
  • Participate in the development of long-term strategies for public safety data management and analytics. 
  • Work closely with the management team to identify opportunities for process improvements and innovation. 

 

What You’ll Need 

  • Background in public safety, with the ability to communicate effectively with public safety personnel. 
  • Strong listening skills and the ability to guide non-technical audiences. 
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, capable of speaking “cop” while also engaging with diverse stakeholders. 
  • Exceptional interpretative skills, with a deep understanding of public service. 
  • Experience as a Technical Writer, Technical Account Manager, or Customer Experience Manager is a plus.
