The Role:

We’re on the look out for a Principal Software Engineer with experience leading full-stack engineering teams. The ideal candidate will have expert level experience working with React, TypeScript, Node.js, and Next.js, alongside additional similar technologies. They will set the precedent for the team’s ways of working through advocacy & be a proven mentor to the engineers in their team. Blinq is a fast-paced startup environment, so a desire to work in this type of environment is a must.

What You Will Own

Lead the development of scalable and robust full-stack applications.
Architect and design systems that are efficient, scalable, and maintainable.
Drive technical decision-making, ensuring alignment with the latest industry standards and practices.
Provide mentorship and technical leadership to junior developers, fostering a culture of learning and growth.
Stay abreast of emerging technologies and trends, integrating them where beneficial.

What We Are Looking for:

Extensive experience in full-stack development, with a strong background in both front-end and back-end technologies.
Proven track record in building, scaling, and maintaining high-availability web applications.
Expertise in a range of programming languages and frameworks, particularly JavaScript-based technologies.
Strong understanding of cloud computing platforms, able to design and implement cloud-native solutions.
Experience with microservices architecture and understanding of design patterns for scalability and performance.
Knowledge of database technologies (SQL and NoSQL) and their integration into scalable systems.
Familiarity with modern frontend frameworks and tools (Webpack, Babel, etc.).
Understanding of security best practices in software development, including experience with WAFs, reverse proxies, and HTTP routers.

Desirable Skills

Experience with Cloudflare, including Cloudflare Workers.
Familiarity with accessibility and responsive design principles.
Contributions to open-source projects or a strong portfolio of personal projects.
