Adentro is a San Francisco-based company backed by the biggest names in Silicon Valley. Our teams enjoy a remote first and highly flexible work culture. Our technical teams are located in Waterloo, Ontario and surrounding areas. This position is available as a remote first position, within Canada. The candidate should be available during core eastern time zone hours as well as participating in our periodic on-call rotation.

Responsibilities:

As a junior member of our Security and DevOps team you are reporting to the Director of Engineering Operations. Working closely with the Director, a successful candidate will be responsible for the maintenance, troubleshooting, and further development of Adentro's AWS Cloud Infrastructure. As you grow in your responsibility, you will take on ownership for the performance and maintenance of our Database technology stack, and our CI/CD pipelines. You will support the work of our engineering teams in the development, release, and production use of our cloud architecture. As a DevOps Developer you should be comfortable with working with a range of technologies and demonstrated knowledge or aptitude in AWS cloud operations and management.

A successful candidate will be a self-starter, and also bring to the table strong organizational skills and a thirst for knowledge.

Requirements:

A detail oriented individual with demonstrated problem solving and troubleshooting skills
Strong desire for operational excellence and continuous improvement
Previous experience with using Terraform
Experience working with one or more core AWS services, including EC2, ECS, S3, ECR, IAM, RDS or Elasticache
Knowledge of common networking protocols such as HTTP/HTTPS, TLS, UDP, TCP
Experience with AWS ECR, ECS and Docker Containers and deployment methodologies
Proficient in one or more of the programming languages Python, Go, Java, Scala. Making software changes to production code as well automation enablement will be required in this role.
Proficient in shell scripting languages
Proficient in Linux administrative tasks
Strong written and verbal communications in English

Top Candidates Will Have:

Current AWS Certification or currently pursuing certification
Bachelor's Degree or higher in Computer Science, Information Systems, Cybersecurity or equivalent experience
Previous Software Development experience
