Position Description:

Provide quality assurance of imported data
Supporting the Data Engineers in gathering, understanding and interpreting business requirements
Identify, evaluate and implement external services and tools to support data validation and cleansing
Monitor and audit data quality
Evaluating changes and updates to source production systems
Manipulate, analyze and interpret complex data sets relating to the business
Work the JIRA ticket queue for any data related requests and tasks
Create and maintain data dictionary documentation as required

Requirements:

BS in Computer Science, Mathematics, Economics, Information Management or Statistics
Post-graduate qualifications (in related disciplines) would be advantageous
1-3 years’ professional experience as a Data Analyst, or in a similar role
Experience in interpreting and validating requirements through factual analysis and challenging of requirements and associated assumptions
Demonstrated T-SQL scripting skills
Hands on experience in handling large data sets
Hands on experience in analytics and data insights using tools such as Tableau, Looker, and Power BI
Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy
High-level written and verbal communication skills

Our Preferred Qualifications:

Hands on experience with AWS or other public cloud providers is highly desirable.
Familiarity with source code management tools (e.g., GitHub, Bitbucket)
Familiarity with one or more scripting languages (e.g., Python, PowerShell, R, etc.)
Hands on experience in analytics and data insights using tools such Tableau, Looker or Power BI
Experience with Redshift DW highly desirable
Experience with ETL\ELT tools
Familiarity with tools like JIRA, Gitlab, and Confluence
