Frontend Engineer

Orange Comet is seeking a skilled Frontend Engineer with expertise in Javascript, Typescript, Sveltekit, NextJS, and NodeJS. Our ideal candidate will have a solid foundation in web3 technologies and a deep understanding of state management. We are open to filling this position with a Global Contractor.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the development and design teams to create and maintain the company's web applications.
• Develop user-friendly web applications using modern frontend technologies and frameworks.
• Ensure the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs and translate designs and wireframes into high-quality code.
• Optimize applications for maximum speed and scalability.
• Collaborate with the backend team to integrate APIs and other data sources.
• Stay up-to-date with emerging trends and technologies in frontend development and web3 technologies.
• Participate in the full software development lifecycle, from conception to deployment.
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to the development of coding standards and best practices.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand end-user requirements and develop technical solutions to meet those needs.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• At least 3 years of experience in front-end development with a focus on Javascript and its frameworks.
• Strong proficiency in Javascript, Typescript, Sveltekit, NextJS, and NodeJS.
• Experience in state management using Redux or similar tools.
• Strong knowledge of HTML, CSS, and responsive design.
• Experience working with RESTful APIs.
• Experience with common front-end development tools such as Vite, Webpack, NPM, etc.
• An interest in gaining knowledge about web3 technologies including Sui, Ethereum, IPFS, and blockchain.
• Proficient understanding of Git and branching strategies.
• Demonstrated expertise in crafting streamlined, maintainable, and efficient code.
• Demonstrated capability in effective communication and team collaboration.
• Ability to rapidly grasp and implement new technological concepts.
  

Nice to have:

• Experience and a good understanding of web3 technologies such as Ethereum, IPFS, and blockchain.
• Experience working with GraphQL APIs.
• Experience with user interface design tools like Figma, or Adobe XD.

Additional Information:

The US base salary range for a full-time position is $50,000-$150,000 + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Our team can share more about the specific salary range for your preferred location during the hiring process.
