As a FinOps Data Analyst specializing in cloud cost management, you'll tackle complex financial challenges—from cost monitoring to optimization—crafting inventive strategies that drive operational efficiency across our cloud infrastructure. You'll work closely with cross-functional teams to shape and implement cloud cost management practices that maximize value for our business. You will be responsible for:

  • Managing and optimizing cloud costs across multiple platforms, with a primary focus on AWS, to ensure cost efficiency and transparency.
  • Identifying and implementing cost-saving opportunities through resource rightsizing, waste reduction, and automation.
  • Developing and managing tagging strategies, chargeback models, and tracking key metrics to ensure accurate cost allocation and continuous improvement.
  • Driving smarter technology decisions that align with business goals
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams (e.g., Engineering, Finance, Operations) to promote financial accountability and drive cost-efficient decision-making.

You should apply if you have:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • 2+ years of experience in cloud financial management and cost optimization.
  • A DevOps background with strong technical skills is a must.
  • Familiarity with AWS is required; experience with other cloud platforms like Azure or GCP is a plus.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and provide actionable insights.
  • High proficiency with MS Excel (Google Sheets) and PowerPoint (Google Slides).
  • Excellent planning, organizational, and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
  • The ability to lead in a matrix environment and demonstrate conflict and situation management skills.
  • A team player with a can-do attitude, flexibility, and self-motivation, capable of working independently.
