Position Overview

You will work closely with tech and Business team to understand the requirements, design, architecture and influence the choice of technology to deliver solution working closely with principal engineers and leadership team. You will also have challenging opportunities to cross-collaborate with inter-disciplinary product/services and engineering teams to solve some of the unique challenges in GRC & ESG domain.

Key Responsibilities 

  • Play a critical role in shaping the product & technical vision for the team while working closely with product, business, and engineering leadership across the company on a regular basis.
  • Manage a team of engineers developing highly scalable, performant, easily maintainable & well-tested SaaS features.
  • Hire, mentor and lead a world class group of engineers.
  • Nurture the culture of innovation, experimentation and fail fast.
  • Evaluate engineering requirements and design proposals in a technical capacity, in collaboration with Product Management
  • Evaluate and develop the technical performance of individual contributors within the team.
  • Be in touch with the latest frameworks in the industry and be influential in all choices related to Diligent’s SaaS application stack.
  • Effectively facilitate daily stand-ups, early risk identification and mitigation, dependency resolution, follow-ups for gap-closure, etc.
  • Engage with Product Management and Business to drive the agenda, set your priorities, create a project plan and deliver awesome products.

Required Experience/Skills 

  • 10 to 15 years of relevant experience in developing Enterprise applications using PHP, .Net, MySql, MsSQl, Caching.
  • 6+ years of experience leading end-to-end engineering teams building scalable platforms and architectures.
  • Passion for building data driven culture, growing talent and hunger for making big impact.
  • Strong interest and curiosity in leveraging the latest in tech to solve customer problems.
  • Experience in communicating with end users, technical & business teams to collect requirements, describe product features, and technical designs.
  • Ability to seek clarity in ambiguous situations.
  • Experience with Cloud (AWS/Azure), CICD, DevOps, scripting, SQL/NoSQL databases
  • Strong understanding of design techniques and software principles.
  • Experience in migrating from monolith to microservices, on-prem to cloud.
  • Experience in Agile development and knowledge of Scrum and Kanban.
  • A self-motivated learner and builder with strong customer focus and obsession to deliver with quality.
