WHY MODERATION REVIEW TOOLS?

This is an opportunity to join as the Engineering Manager of the Moderation Review Tools Team. You will help build the development of our latest moderation review tool used to ensure a safe and positive user experience on our platform. You will develop a clear technical strategy for the team, aligning it with the broader organizational goals. You will also work with product managers and partners to understand requirements and translate them into actionable engineering plans. You will report to a Senior Engineering Manager.

You Will:

  • Guide large cross-functional projects that span multiple teams
  • Develop a team Roadmap, charter, and vision
  • Uphold high coding standards and establish new ones
  • Work for your team, being a force multiplier by unblocking issues and bridging the gaps between organizations
  • Mentor engineers to make sure your team expertise grows over time
  • Collaborate with other engineering teams, product, and design to develop new functionality, pipelines, and workflow
  • Be guided by our vision to put the Roblox community first
  • Produce excellent documentation for internal and external teams

You Have:

  • 1+ years of experience as an engineering manager
  • 8+ years of experience in large-scale software development with experience delivering highly performant solutions
  • A degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field
  • Solid system design and programming skills
  • Excellent long-term strategic sense, both in technical systems and in consumer product design
  • Recognize risks, errors, and effect in application development
  • Collaboration skills across multiple teams and disciplines
  • Experience with testing and development
  • Programming experience in one compiled (Golang, C++, C#, Java)
  • Experience in anti-fraud, anti-abuse, trust & safety, or risk
  • Mathematical and statistical methods experience
For roles that are based at our headquarters in San Mateo, CA: The starting base pay for this position is as shown below. The actual base pay is dependent upon a variety of job-related factors such as professional background, training, work experience, location, business needs and market demand. Therefore, in some circumstances, the actual salary could fall outside of this expected range. This pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future.  All full-time employees are also eligible for equity compensation and for benefits.
Annual Salary Range
$283,780$331,640 USD
