We’re looking for an experienced Director of Engineering to lead our Partnerships engineering team, responsible for delivering the tools, integrations, and platforms that power our commercial partnerships. This is a high-impact leadership role focused on scaling partner solutions, defining strategic priorities, and executing against a long-term roadmap to ensure our B2B offerings remain best-in-class.
This role requires a strong technical background, a passion for driving execution, and the ability to collaborate closely with Product, Business Development, and Operations to deliver scalable, reliable, and high-value partner experiences. What you'll be doing:
- Set the technical and strategic direction for the Partnerships team, aligning technical execution with business goals to deliver on our long-term vision.
- Own the roadmap and delivery process, working closely with Product and Business Development to prioritize and sequence work based on partner needs and business impact.
- Lead and manage multiple teams of engineers and technical support analysts, fostering a culture of ownership, accountability, and high performance.
- Develop and maintain strong operational processes and drive the execution of complex, multi-team projects.
- Drive engineering best practices around architecture, scalability, observability, and automation.
- Partner with leadership across Product, Business Development, and Operations to define requirements, track progress, and resolve blockers.
- Measure and report progress on key initiatives, and continuously refine team processes to improve efficiency and quality.
- Ensure the reliability and scalability of the core partner platform, proactively identifying areas for improvement.
What you should bring:
- 15+ years of software development experience with at least 5+ years managing multiple software development teams
- Experience in managing both backend services built using Java, Go, Kotlin, Node.js and front-end platforms using Typescript, Android and iOS platforms
- Experience working with AWS, Google Cloud, Azure or other cloud platforms and cloud native technologies
- Proven experience leading technical teams and complex projects, ideally in a fintech B2B or partnerships-focused environment
- Strategic thinking with the ability to connect day-to-day execution to long-term business objectives
- Experience driving technical roadmaps and making strategic decisions on platform architecture, scalability, and integration patterns
- Execution-focused leadership style with a track record of delivering results in a fast-paced, high-growth environment
- Excellent cross-functional collaboration skillsExperience building B2B partner integrations, two-sided networks, marketplaces, API platforms, and native SDKs is a plus

Our stance on salaries:
Greenlight provides a competitive compensation package with a market-based approach to pay and will vary depending on your location, experience and skill set. The total compensation package for this position will also include a discretionary performance bonus, equity rewards, medical benefits, 401K match, and more. Greenlight conducts continuous compensation evaluations across departments and geographies to ensure we are keeping our pay current and competitive.
The estimated base pay range for this position in (NY, CA, WA): $210,000- 275,000
The estimated base pay range for this position in (CO): $210,000- 230,000
