Why We Need You:

 

As PagerDuty's Director, Go-to-Market Analytics, you will play a crucial role in building a reporting center of excellence for the Go To Market organization and leadership. Additionally, you will own data quality for key Salesforce data points, ensuring accurate and reliable data to support decision-making. You will deliver key insights and recommendations to senior company leaders across key metrics in sales, marketing, product and customer success. You will report to the Sr. Director of Sales Strategy & Operations and provide value to the sales organization by leveraging your analytical and data-driven expertise.

 

You have experience in fast-paced, rapidly growing organizations and have a deep understanding of sales metrics, processes, and tools. You are curious about the latest AI advances and have a comfortable handle on using AI technologies. You have a strong background in data quality management and are experienced with SaaS and/or digital sales metrics. You are comfortable building intuitive and robust reports in Tableau.

 

You understand that making quality business decisions is about watching the right indicators. In addition to this, having high quality data behind these indicators is crucial. That’s why this role will focus on both. In this role you will initially have a supporting analyst to help you execute your vision and you will work cross-functionally to marshall the right resources to help you in your mission. 

 

How You Contribute to Our Vision: Key Responsibilities:

 

  • Build a reporting center of excellence in Tableau for the sales organization and leadership, ensuring accurate, actionable, and timely insights by utilizing the latest AI and data synthesis techniques.
  • Drive alignment on key metrics across the sales, marketing, product, customer success, product and finance organizations to ensure consistent reporting. 
  • Create and present data-driven insights and recommendations to sales leadership and cross-functional teams, supporting strategic decision-making and driving growth.
  • Manage a small team of analysts and partner with data scientists to understand and develop: weekly, monthly, quarterly business reporting and forecasting models; propensity to buy models; and action-oriented insights to drive the business forward.
  • Own data quality for key Salesforce data points, establishing processes and best practices to maintain and improve data integrity, and leveraging the latest tools for data cleansing.
  • Implement automated data quality solutions to help with ongoing data maintenance.
  • Work with sales and company leadership to understand the necessary data characteristics to create a 360 degree view of our customers in Salesforce and then execute on that vision
  • Determine how to leverage data science, machine learning, and other analytical techniques to offer actionable insights both internally & externally.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Sales, Marketing, Finance, and IT, to develop and implement data-driven strategies that drive sales enablement and productivity.
  • Monitor, analyze, and report on key performance metrics using business intelligence tools such as Tableau, providing insights and recommendations for data-driven decision-making.
  • Comfortably handle large datasets, ensuring data accuracy and reliability while drawing meaningful conclusions for the organization.

 

Skills & Attributes:

 

  • Strong leadership skills and the ability to build collaborative relationships
  • Ability to create and foster a data-driven and metrics-focused environment
  • Strong written and verbal communication, with experience delivering presentations to an executive audience
  • Track record of driving successful advanced analytics initiatives while balancing the diagnosis and fixing of urgent problems with a calm assertive approach.
  • Extensive experience with business intelligence tools, such as Tableau and Looker
  • Detailed knowledge of Salesforce tools for data cleansing and data quality management

 

Minimum Requirements:

 

  • 8+ years of progressive experience in Sales/Business Operations, Business Planning, and Strategy experience
  • 4+ years’ of experience in Data Analytics, Business Intelligence and Reporting
  • Direct experience within a SaaS organization - at least three years
  • Salesforce & Tableau Power User
  • Strong background in data quality management and analytics
  • Proven experience in building reporting centers of excellence

 

Preferred Qualifications:

 

  • Knowledge of the latest AI and data synthesis techniques for generating insights
  • Exposure to AI, Deep Learning, Neural Networks, NLP
  • Exposure to big data platforms - Snowflake, Redshift, Azure, Matillion, Hadoop

 

The base salary range for this position is 168,000 - 262,000 USD. This role may also be eligible for bonus, commission, equity, and/or benefits.

Our base salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range, which is subject to change based on primary work location, reflects the minimum and maximum base salary we expect to pay newly hired employees for the position. Within the range, we determine pay for an individual based on a number of factors including market location, job-related knowledge, skills/competencies and experience.
