Data Tech Lead

Look continuously for strategies with smart dashboards, accurate reports, and real-time analytics, for our customers to be able to visualize their global payments and make more informed decisions, increasing as well their payments efficiency and success rates. These, being cloud oriented, and using the most up-to-date tech-stack to answer requirements - Druid, Kafka-Streams, Spark, Python, Airflow, Docker, Hive, Mesos, Kubernetes, Postgres, Redshift, Snowflake, Cassandra, NoSQL databases, S3, SQS - and always looking to stay ahead.

Design experiments— A/B test for putting into “Proof of Concept” systems reliability, performance, as well as designing good streamlines for delivering good solutions “on-the-fly”

·        Lead and mentor a small team of data engineers, training the team with new technologies to use

·        Design and write data pipelines to ingest, enrich and consume our data

·        Write Spark jobs to process streaming and batch data.

·        Develop and write microservices in Node.Js, Python and Scala to serve our data to our customers

·        Evaluate and deploy new technologies to expand our tech-stack and support our customers' requirements

·        Make code review and prioritize the requirements for the team, understanding the business needs.

·        Create and give support to Airflow DAGs.

·        Give support to the current ETLs and design new strategies to improve these.

·        Understand and improve various data structures and common methods in data transformation

·        Excellent English communication skills (verbal and written) – a must!

·        Hands on Experience with Kafka, Python, Java and Spark – a must!

·        Experience in Snowflake and with micro services architecture – an advantage 

·        Knowledge of Data Warehousing and ETL Tools like Airflow, Spark and Pentaho

·        Experience with cloud platforms, in particular, Amazon Web Services

·        Knowledge of algorithms and data structures
