The Payments Analytics/Data Engineer will be part of the team responsible for SumUp’s largest data domain: Payments. It spans several core engineering & product teams that have a common data product with a shared repository and decentralized data ownership model.
You will be responsible for further development and maintainance of the shared repository, including scope expansion, change management, and upholding dbt ownership principles. The role is at the crossroads of data engineering and analytics, involves dealing with an environment that is evolving and growing very fast due to changing infrastructure, new products, strategies, and organizational changes, while also being complex to manage, while managing stakeholders from several core teams.
Some of the tools and technologies used in the team: AWS Cloud for all analytics back-end infrastructure, Airflow, dbt for data modeling and orchestration, Snowflake for data warehousing, Tableau for visualization, Python.
