As part of a growing SRE team, you will play a critical role in laying the foundation for Vareto's platform and infrastructure. You'll drive key engineering initiatives related to our cloud infrastructure, continuous integration process, deployment automation, security, compliance, and more. This is a fully remote position. Candidates must reside in and be authorized to work in US, Canada, or Brazil.

What you'll do:

Maintain and extend Vareto's cloud infrastructure, DevOps tooling, and security, compliance, and disaster recovery programs.
Establish cloud infrastructure patterns to support new product releases
Represent infrastructure, security, and compliance concerns during product and engineering design processes
Write code to define infrastructure and to automate tedious or error-prone operational processes
Own and operation Vareto’s infrastructure following industry best practices

What we look for:

Experience building and operating infrastructure on AWS to support web-based, multi-tenant software systems
Familiarity with building CI/CD pipelines on Github, GitLab, Harness, or similar tools
Familiarity with common cloud security and compliance best practices. Experience working in an organization that has maintained SOC 2 Type 2 or ISO 20071 compliance is a plus.
Experience defining infrastructure as code using tools like Terraform, Terragrunt, or AWS CDK
A solid understanding of TCP/IP networking and troubleshooting
The ability to automate tasks using Bash, Python, or similar tools/languages
Experience working with containerized workloads (Docker, Kubernetes)
Cloud-based relational database (Aurora Postgres or similar) admin experience is a plus
